  1. Just testing them on the red car...suspension wise...it looks like I have a weak spring on the passengers rear side... but, I posted in the body forum that I got the flares from Japan...and a ton of other parts...and they might be all swapped over to the white Z that has a stiffer suspension. I decided not to change the fares on the red car....I got a set of 14x8's and 14x10's that should fill them out nicely. Or I'll get the sport max 002's and use the honda spacers I have. Besides...the red Z wouldn't have the power to turn the wheels...but the white Z does...and after I score a t3/t4 turbo and some SVO injectors...then it will really rock. But so far...this project is killing my wallet...but once it's all together, cleaned up, Painted, tuned....then I'll have something that will be sweet...

  3. well, I'm underpaid for the amount of work I perform...I carry a lot of slack for the older mechanics...and my labor grade raise is still in the procesing stage... I make $27.10...whereas I should be making $28.80...and then add another 4% ontop of that next week... But compared to other heli mechs in the profession...I make more than them...and I also suck up as much OT as possible... so far for this year...as of last week...I've already made $19K's....but due to uncle sam and my habit of stuffing the 401K...I've only seen $11Ks of that money.
  4. Pirrelllllllli...at $495 a tire.......I could only afford two this year...ohh well... But back on topic...hrmmm... those Sportmax's are also in 4x100....and I have a 3 inch adapter from 4x114.3 to 4x100 on one Z, I also have 16x7.5 Milli miglia's on it now....but a cheap 16x8 has sparked my interest...since I also have a turbo honda that will need some more shoes as the season progresses...hrmmm... I wonder if it's too late to get a set in gunmetal...
  5. I'm going to prolly hug the Fed-Ex guy tommorrow...I got my 345/35zr15's coming...I've been drooling over them since Nov, and I could finally afford them... Get the sportmaxes on, I need to see what they look like...I still need to set up the other Z with some wide rims...
  6. There is a Z somewhere in that vid.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mocovideo.jp%2Fmovie_detail.php%3FKEY%3DlE1ShSHCg7M&v=lE1ShSHCg7M
  7. well, I just ordered thos same tires...I've been drooling over them since Nov.... ITEMS ORDERED: 1 : Pirelli PZero System Asimmetrico tires 345/35ZR15 Max Performance 399.54 USD x 2 : 799.08 USD Total: 799.08 USD Shipping to Meriden, Connecticut USA and handling: 99.22 USD 2 boxes. 49.61 USD each. Order Total: 898.30 USD I think the white Z will receive the flares and wheels...since it's boosted and has the r200 lsd....and I'll try to get something else setup for the red Z....
  8. you can powdercoat them yourself for less than $400... get an Ebay powdercoating gun. $70ish http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-Powder-Painting-Coating-System-Coat-Paint_W0QQitemZ110091542898QQihZ001QQcategoryZ43998QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem the paint from Ebay... $12ish but you might have to look around for your color. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JET-BLACK-Powder-Coat-3-lbs-90-GLOSS-READING-TGIC_W0QQitemZ130080626133QQihZ003QQcategoryZ43987QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem then check your local craigslist for an old used electric oven, wheels fit in them nice. $free-$50 ish... and then if your lucky to have a sandblaster, or you can can get then scuffed up enough to have a clean surface...it would be a decent week-end project. Just make sure the oven is outside or in the garage...don't use the oven in your hous...the wife might not like the smell... and when your done...sell the gun on craigslist for $50, and sell the oven for another $50...done and done....or keep the setup...and do some other parts you have....
  9. That's almost exactly the look I was shooting for.... except with a whale tail.
  10. After a long wait...they finally got here... Direct from Japan...a full set of Works flares...they are huge, but yet tiny... my wallet got lighter...but I think they will be worth it when they are on the car, and the wheels and tires I got will pimp better with them... but the hard part is...which car to pimp out??? The red car already has molded flares, and the white car has ZG flares... I have two new front fiberglass finders to mount the flares to, along with new FG rockers...so one car will get the 15x10's and 15x12, and the other car will get whatever I find that will look sweet on some Honda rims since I have the spacer/adapter to go wide and out. The white car has some 255/50/16's on it already, and they fill the ZG flares perfectly, but won't clear the red cars molded flares, but those tires are dead, so I might just find some tires that will fit on the 16x7.5s... And I still need to buy the 345/35/15's for the 15x12's... Too many damn options...too many damn parts...and too many idea's.... Maybe I might just get another Z.... now for the pics... http://www.redpepperracing.com/gallery/v/airjockie/Flairs/
  11. the flight hangar tool crib job, any of the composite blade shop positions, maintenance guys, and if you know a little bit of aircraft hardware and instalations, then you might be able to snag the service mech C... and the riviting jobs....plenty of them. And the average pay for hourly is about $52Ks..
  12. http://www.sikorskycareers.com/job_detail.asp?JobID=870354&user_id= http://www.sikorskycareers.com/job_detail.asp?JobID=870124&user_id= and more jobs posted today.
  13. sounds cool...I do know we have a contract to make the Canadians a lot of MH-92, right now they are developing the folding, 5 bladed head, and stawable tail....so there may be something for you. Just see how or what you have to do to attain employment in the states, then apply anyways for the positions of service mech B, or A. When you see them pop up on that page.
  14. And there will be an opening for someone to come to work, walk around the hanger, check all the power equipment for flat tires, oil levels, make sure that they start the first time, and safety wise...then jump on a motorized floor sweeper and sweep up the hanger, then check all the oil servicing carts for fluid levels, operate a forklift and move some things...and collect a decent pay that would be in the 45-58K's a year.....
  15. Dave, I'm just an employee working there as an hourly mech, for your buddy with the college degree's and EE...or anything elso...I really can't help land him the job, but he can use my name for a referance...My first name is Clayton, and the last name is pace. I wish he found out about this 3 months ago when they were having a mad hiring spree for engineers...I could have made $3000 if he was hired...but now it's just a straight hireing spree for everyone. Everyone else, I was looking at the companies intranet, and my old boss is hiring a few people that will be making a very decent pay, just putting parts on the airframe, and safetying them. Those jobs aren't listed yet to the public, but I do know they are looking for 7 people to just do simple installs, no A&P license required.....and if your wanting to do something like that, and work there for 2 years or so, then you can be qualified to get the A&P license and make the same money I presently make...and I averaged over the last 4 years in the 80Ks...next year I'm shooting for 110Ks...but I plan to suck up OT as much as possible...so far to this date, I'm sitting at 14.8ks for this year. Good money, and the best bennies in any company in the states. More jobs are being posted every day, in different areas of the country...but mostly CT and FL..... my last five years...summery...I moved from a $10 job in FL for this job, I only had a worn out CRX and rented a house for a while, and now I have a house in the area of $200Ks, 2 high performance Z's, the old CRX is almost boosted, a subaru legacy for a daily driver, and I'm about to go to school for flight again, and I'll be making $28 an hour next week....and a collection of wheels and tires to make a race team cream.....I wish anyone that is younger than me could snag this oppertunity and hang it for what it's worth...I'm enjoying the ride...but I'm capable of more...but I'm happy for now. But I did apply for a job as a regional manager in Japan, but I lacked the college for that job....everything else I had. watch the next few days on that job post link, I'm sure something that someone cando, as they are in a boring job, something that they might qaulify for, might come up...and don't be discouraged if your nat fully qaulified for the job, if it something that you think you can do...then post for it....they came for me since I had a fresh A&P license, but I also had a few years of military and private aircraft experiance...but I've also had Delta Fed-Ex me applications...while Fed-Ex just USPS'ed me their apps....
  16. http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e58930534 Has some small finned hub to help cool down the brakes, like the Mugen CF-48's, and they do look sweet.... but damn....exspensive little muthas:shock:
  17. he's prolly wondering why he has all these people looking at his auction, and no bids....
  18. 74 260Z N/A for drift 76 280Z Turbo for road race 87 CRX Turbo for autocross 86 Civic for parts...soon to be junked. 95 Subaru Legacy for daily driver/beater. and I'm about to look into another Legacy to replace the old dependable leggy...damn...I love that car.. 31,000 miles, 9 oil changes...and some fresh brakes. 181K's on the odo. $1200 when I got it, and I can prolly sell it for more than I paid. so the answer...is at least 4...
  19. liquid filled gauge for the vibrations...
  20. ES100's or the RT-615's FTW.... Unless you can find a set of the RT-215's...even better. If you can afford them, the Advan A048s..hard compound...they last a while, and has great grip... or the Dunlop SP Sport 9000's...also great grip, and decent life for spirited driving.
  21. and by the way...I moved from Fl up to CT to get the job I have...and the move was worth it..
