  1. Hoping for a better picture, but yes that would certainly be an example of it.
  2. I've searched, and searched.. I simply want to find a picture of a Z with the imsa flares (like these: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2965379/1972-datsun-240z/ or http://www.zccjdm.com/catalog.php/azcarbum/dt73726/pd1865902/FULL__IMSA___G_NOSE__RACE__BODY_KIT_ ) but WITHOUT a g-nose, just the front grille. Anyone? as an aside, I'm also interested in the short nose _without_ a front bumper if anyone's got pics of that (as in, where the car is intentionally lacking it, not just it has been removed)... but that's not my primary interest here.
  3. I want two for a 1976 280z. PM me with cost shipping to 39042... or pm me when they're available. I want them, and will continue to want them, so let me know when/if I can get them. (I made a post earlier in this thread as well)
  4. Oh that's a porsche airdam? looks like one of the ones already available for the Z.
  5. http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/3310925903.html Wonder how this worked.
  6. What are the tail lights on that car?
  7. Why is this so? I wish to try to remedy this problem.
  8. This chop looks insanely good; most others I've seen looked like trash. It gives it a much smoother curve, instead of jumping up so much at the windshield. I wish I was competent enough for this sort of thing (though the Z looks good by default anyway!). That said... how did you perform this chop? Did you cut a cross-section of the roof out somewhere above the quarter window, and slide the entire roof back? Also, you are using the stock windshield and a custom quarter window... how about the door windows?
  9. I know you can get an aftermarket 240z-style front valance and do the conversion (need the valance, turn signals, and to drill a bit to get the grille attached)... but can you do this with the _stock_ valance of the 240z (like http://edb.smugmug.com/photos/23266393_Hz78L-S.jpg ) I imagine that you can, but having only seen a 280z in person before I thought I'd inquire.
  10. Is this actually true? This is the only time I've ever heard of the doors fitting differently.
  11. Looking for a set of side markers from a 1985-1989 Hyundai Excel to replace my 1976 280z's side markers.
  12. Surely there's someone that owns a 77+ 280z and a camera? =/
  13. Could anyone with 1977+ doors take some detailed pictures of the lock mechanism for me? I'm not finding any in my searches. Namely, I need pictures to.. 1) Get a context for what part of the door frame the striker is in. 2) A close up of the striker 3) A context for what pat of the door the latch is in. 4) A close up of the latch. I already have my 76 in my garage for comparison; just trying to get an idea of what this will entail, but for the life of me I can't seem to find such pictures. My searches fail, it seems.
  14. Well, in the link I provided the guy shortened the IRS a bit as well. That said, I suppose the product I linked would likely also be too wide to be of use (if it would even be of use in the first place).
  15. I've read about this swap before here: http://www.pape.ws/allan_and_rosanne/Z-Car_Stuff/Swapping%20a%20C4%20Corvette%20IRS%20Into%20a%20240Z_files-Scottie/Swapping%20a%20C4%20Corvette%20IRS%20Into%20a%20240Z.htm Anyhow, while browsing today I came across A rear cradle kit for the c4 IRS here: http://www.streetrodgarage.com/c4corvetteirsrearcradlekit.aspx Anyone know if this would be useful in putting the C4 IRS into a Z?
  16. I'd pay for a c.f. 280z dash, would be awesome.
  17. Awesome information, thanks a lot. If you could, run this topic by that member of yours and see if they have anything in particular to say about it.
  18. Searching this forum, I've found that in 77, they relocated the window crank and door lock switch, made the doors heavier, made the window regulators smoother, and changed the door striker design. However, I haven't found any real commentary on how you could make an earlier Z accept these improved doors. I imagine the strikers would have to be relocated and such, but was wondering if it would be worth the effort.
  19. My signals work properly but after turning they don't cancel/reset; not sure how I'd go about fixing that.
  20. Anyone ever provide the dash?
  21. The whole un-stealable radio idea is a bad one in my experience. My father had a thief literally rip a crack down the entire front face of his GMC Sonoma's dash because a thief had a hard time removing the radio. He would have preferred to lose the radio with no body damage.
  22. http://www.vintagerubber.com/datsun240zbasicsealkit-1-1-1-1-1.aspx What's this hatch seal type.. Early - 3-Piece Later – One Piece (+ $15.00) Mine is a 76, so I'd be inclined to say early, but really, what's the difference here? Would the one piece work on mine?
  23. I would like a pair of these as well for my 76 280z.
