So did you end up coming by the fiesta on Sunday? I was there for an hour or so just after noon. To be honest. I thought the show was pretty weak. Mostly 350 and 370z with shiny bolt ons.

Wonder if you can order the badges. Modern OE Datsun badges would be cool.

I weld professionally and I have used what is now called the miller hobby pro for the past 7 years. Changed the battery once and have put it through hell. My only complaint is the sensor is at the top of the panel and becomes obscured if doing welds in tight areas. I've used the digital elite and was not impressed. It's heavy and uncomfortable. The first time I flipped it down it slammed me in the nose. When my hood finally dies I'm leaning twords getting an old school hood. Most of the other welder a at my shop use the elite and all have had major problems with them flashing them or just outright not working.

I lived in an area that was very prone to pack rat and rabbit damage. The only thing you could really do is keep your hood up. Even on my dd I would keep it open because overnight something could chow on some important wires.

You could always strip it bare then take an orbital sander to it. Then treat it with gun blue then clear. I had an old dodge powerwagon that I did it to. The finish isn't uniform but it looks awesome.......on an old truck atleast...I wish I had a picture.

Yes and it got 16mpg on a good day. For the same price I could have gotten a mid grade sentra with half the options. That's saying if the Nissan dealer would have hooked me up as well as the hyunai dealer did.

Never had a problem. I live in the hill country south of austin and we have had some serious rain in the past month. My main gripe is the cruise control. It has a hard time keeping speed unless the road is relatively flat and it takes a bit more brake to disengage it than im comfortable with. Im used to my titan where just a touch will turn it off.

I picked up a 2012 Hyundai Veloster with the duel clutch trans with a flappy paddle shifter. I love it. Its not a rocket by any means but it handles like its on rails. The 35-40 mpg is pretty nice too. My only gripe is you can't power brake the dct like a normal auto. Im looking into what it would take to make a launch button so I could get some revs up for off the line.

I was just about out of highschool and I had a list of cars I was looking for. A mopar a-body, karman gia or oval window beetle and a s30. It was kind of a convoluted list but I wanted something different but not so obscure id never find parts. I was looking up chevy corvair spyders at school and I found a 72, s30 for sale in Tucson, az for 800 bucks. It was mine and on my trailer home 9 hours later. I later sold it to a friend of mines dad so I knocked his sister up and he gave it back to me as a "wedding" present...and these are the days of our lives.

So there will be some modern Datsun badges available. Neat.

I would of built my l24 the right way the first time. I had all the right parts but didnt have the patients to build it right. I hurried the motor build and it self destructed.

The vk56 is like that also. I dread the day my starter goes out in my titan.
