FYI all allen bolts are grade 8 or better. Our local hardware store carries them. Don't forget to buy a allen wrench if you need one.

I don't know if you want to spend the money but I had Griffin custom make mine. All they did was use take their 26"x19" radiator and cut 5/8" off each end tank before they assembled it. Then I had them weld a 2"x2" L shaped bracket aluminum on each tank. When I got the radiator I placed it in the car and drilled two holes in each "L" bracket using the original holes in the radiator support that were used for the stock radiator.

Sorry, I'm not that "up" on Cobra Daytona kit cars but Factory Five makes one on a custom chassis http://www.factoryfive.com/ I don't think the Datsun Z based Cobra Daytona has been manufactured in a long time.

Wow Tom - that is one awesome GTO replica. I had seen some of the pictures from a few of the other sites and could not get over how great your car looks. It is, without a doubt, the finest looking fiberglass replica of a Ferrari 250 GTO that I have ever seen!!!!!!!! I thought about modifying mine to have a trunk when I built it. I actually took it over to the body shop of a guy that said he was really excited to do it. Trailered the car over to him just before Easter and picked it up after Labor Day without him ever touching it. Decided I had waited long enough and it was time to get it painted so I could finish it and drive it! Anyway, I wish you had your kit ready at the time because I would have used it. Oh, well - maybe next time! Thanks for stopping by and maybe you can check this site once in a while since quite a few of the guys are building GTO’s. Maybe you could help and offer a few suggestions on occasion.

You might want to check with Eric Neyerlin http://www.zparts.com/inprogress.html for info on the Puckett kits. BTW, I don't think the silver and read GTO is a Puckett. I saw somewhere on the web that it's a modified Rhino. If you look close you can see that it's on the standard Z wheelbase. I wish I had welded the hatch up and installed a trunk in mine thought. That is one beautiful car!

Thanks Pappy! Actually those are the guages I used in my car. I also used the matching 5" speedo and tach http://www.hybridz.org/Review/0002/GTO_31.jpg As you can see the speedo goes to 160MPH and the tach is x100.

"The first race of the year was the Daytona 24 Hour and Ferrari submitted an entry form for it’s “Homologated†(classified) car. The Italian word for homologated is “Omologato†so the form listed a Ferrari 250 GT Omologato. The Corvette bell housing doesn't mount the trans at the 14 degree angle like the Camaro AND uses an aluminum slave cylinder. All you have to do is remove the stop under the cliutch pedal (welded to the floor pan) and it will work fine with the stock master cylinder.

Jason - I don't know why you want to remove the PCV valve from your car but it's not recommended. The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve improves airflow through the crankcase and removes moisture and other harmful gases/chemicals.

David - I used the 1984 and up Corvette bellhousing/slave cylinder on my car. I have a custom made 26" Aeroquip stainless steel line on mine. I wanted a little extra so I could clamp it to the firewall to make things neat and out of the heat from the headers.
