I know this isn't the for sale forum but since I'm too broke to be a donating member I can't post there. Like the previous thread says, I've been laid off and I just recently had a new baby. So I'm extremely broke. I've finished the new custom bent and flares stainless steel hard brake lines and put on the stainless steel braided soft lines to the calipers. I just need to Fab up the exhaust and finish wiring and I'm finished with the mechanical aspect of the car. I put over 12k into this thing and I no longer have a single cent to finish it. I'm getting desperate so I'm putting it up for sale for 6k or best offer...my number is 916-690-0578. Or email me at sk8erboy209@yahoo.com.......so the driveshaft has been fabbed up by drive line service of Stockton with new spicer ujoints, rear r230 mounted, fuel cell mounted and lines custom bent and set up. Earl's fuel filter with walbro pump, new fidanza flywheel and exedy , custom mounted koyo r core radiator, wilwood brakes, 5 lug conversion, wilwood prop valve and Jamar line lock, 350z steering column, and pedals mounted, new nrg steering wheel and quick release, Arizona z car shocks and big brake set up and Techno toy tuning rear suspension and control arms front control arms. And sooo much more stuff I'm forgetting. Anyhow I'm asking only 6k or best offer. That's only half of what I put in. And all that's left is exhaust tubing( i have an HKS. Super drager muffler to throw in) and plug and play wiring and u got a track beast. I really don't want to let it go for so little but my kids are more important. Again my number is 916-690-0578 or message me here.

Due to a change of events, im gonna have to sell the car. My wifes health insurance coverage isnt that great and after talking with the hospitals billing department, they said once the baby is born this month....we're still gonna owe them $2700. I dont have a job right now and this is gonna be baby number 4 so I have to sell. Any how since my last post I was able to mount the fuel cell, run new stainless hard line for fuel, mount fuel pump, get custom driveshaft made, buy wilwood prop valve, buy jamar hydraulic line lock, buy a hood, buy new headlight buckets, bought tailights, and started on body work. All I need to do is finish the wiring and try to fire it up. Im so close but im still gonna have to sell it. So im entertaining any legit offers. I live in california if anyone wants to check it out. Just text me at 916-690-0578 or message me here at hybridz. By the way my name is robbie.

300 Dollar VQ35DE should I buy it?
yem73z replied to MazerRackham's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
Dont buy it for the motor....If there is a fracture/crack anywhere thats not visible to the eye, then its just a big paper weight. I however would advise on purchasing it if it came with a 6speed manual transmission. the transmission is actually valuable and for 300bucks, thats an awesome price. Just save yourself the headache and opt for a complete motor with a harness thats intact. There will be more deals out there if you're patient. -
These are still available.

I got a pair of 94 300zxtt axles available. They would be useful for anyone doing a r230 swap since u you would need these as a core for some custom length shafts..or even use the ends. They are a six bolt pattern and they are freeeeeee. I already got mines made and these were extra ones I bought. I no longer need these. Just hit me up here and arrange a pick up. I will not ship. Pick up only in stockton, ca. Again these are FREE!!!!!!

http://m.flickr.com/photos/39553792@N02/7377375660/lightbox/ Here's what I was talking about in the last comment. Ive always been more of a fan of things that are mechanical and just works. But if a line lock works good without any issues, I might just pick one up and chop up the tunnel and start over
-
Thanks for the info guys. I ended up picking up a wilwood prop valve and now im tryin to figure out if I should keep the z32 handbrake I mounted for parking or should I cut it back out and put in a hydraulic line lock just to have a sleeker/ spacious look ok. Id have to cut into a widened transmission tunnel I did when I mounted the handbrake and narrow it down to the stock size because should I ever mount a passenger seat it would not likely fit. Has anyone ever heard of having a lot of negative issues with a line lock? How are the Jamar line locks for anyone who owns one?

i forgot to mention I have a remanufactured 280zx booster and a 15/16 master cylinder. So I know i will have a large enough bore on the master cylinder and the 280zx booster should provide plenty of pedal feel and ease, but do you guys think all of the upgrades will do ok with the factory prop valve or should I upgrade to an adjustable one. I am low on cash and would like to just get away with using the stock valve.
-
So I have recently upgraded my front brakes to the AZC Wilwood caliper/5 lug conversion and rear disc 94 300zx caliper. My question is that the car is a 1973 240z and has a factory prop valve mounted on the firewall and was just curious if the brake bias should be close to before. I am not able to drive the car because its in the process of getting new stainless hard line and new vq35de engine swap also. I just want to make sure before flaring and bending all the new line whether or not the stock prop valve would be good enough or should I delete the stock prop valve and install a wilwood adjustable prop valve in the cabin by splicing into the rear line. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey ZTR, where did u go to get the 6 bolt flange that bolts to the r230 input companion flange? The flange im wondering connects to the u-joint on the driveshaft. Did a driveshaft shop order it for u? Where can I get one and how much? I also have the TTT high mount r230 conversion set up with moser axles. Im trying to get my vq35de powered 240z on the road and the driveshaft is my last piece I need. Any advice would be appreciated

Im running stainless 3/8 line also and I ended up using AN to hardline adapters from jegs. They are like 6-10 bucks or something. I have a link to my flickr acct that shows the picture http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/39553792@N02/7110142317/

Sorry the pics didn't show, I had my flickr setting to private. I just set it to public and I have a few other pics of my vq35de swapped 240z.

94 300zx calipers mounted on 73z
yem73z replied to yem73z's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Yeah, the swap was really time/energy consuming. I had to track down/order the hub, studs, ebrake cables, calipers, bolts for calipers, axle nut size 36mm, rotors etc....so definitely time consuming. I would suggest if you could get the whole entire complete rear knuckle from the 300zx the better. -
Just wanted to share some progess photos of my 5 lug swap and rear disc brake set up with everyone...The car is a 1973 240z with techno toy tuning rear r230 swap with 5 lug conversion using the 94 300zx wheel hub, caliper, and some ichiba extended studs. I managed to also mount the stock ebrake cables along with the inner shoes for parking/or power sliding(giggle) purposes....
-
Yeah, they should turn datsun into the sports car division for nissan.

You guys are awesome. Thats great advice. I did put countless hours already into this thing and not finishing would be a shame. I think I need the sense of accomplishment on a project like this right now since the rest of my life kinda sucks. Asides from my kids, I don't have anything I'm proud of. I'll keep it!!!! As a matter of fact im gonna mount the fuel cell, pump, and start running my lines and maybe some bodywork this weekend. It was my birthday yesterday so I'll just splurge a little.

Hey I got a 350z diff available. Askin 250 shipped.

Well, ive decided to sell two sets of wheels to keep me a float till I land a job. Just suck seeing my Rays Engineering gram lights and SSR type C's go. Oh well, wheels are dime a dozen anyhow. Plus I wanted to go with a much lower offset in the future.
