  1. If you have the cash available and there is a good shop in the area, you would be doing yourself a big favor having it professionally tuned on a dyno...
  2. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
  3. It would be interesting to see what TBI and megasquirt could do on that setup...
  4. Well, let me know if that 2.5" pipe ever ends up on ebay...
  5. The problem is, where do I download a copy of the older revision?
  6. No worries now, that was just a thought a while back. Turbocharging seems more feasible now...
  7. I am planning on going turbo in the near future (tax return?) but the laptop I borrowed to do the initial tuning no longer has megatune and the config files. My main question is can I either update the firmware without losing all my settings, or is there a good place to look for the old msns-e files?
  8. Completely stock 83 ZX na motor with headers/exhaust running fuel only on MSnS-e 024s. It spent an hour on the dyno being professionally tuned, but is not perfect. The first half hour was spent getting the emissions to a minimum for smog... http://www.hobbitandshoshy.net/hobbitsstuff.htm BTW- the dyno printout is only to around 5k, not 5500 as I originally thought
  9. I sketched out an idea almost exactly like 280zedx's setup, but simply mounting the supercharger directly where the ps pump would be on a ZX. Running only 8psi I figured I would be able to get away with a v-belt. No fancy pulleys or tensioners required, just a bracket/plenum for the supercharger...
  10. What about ebay flanges? There is a guy selling T3 exhaust flanges in mild steel for $18 incl shipping...
  11. If a stock NA motor can make over 1hp per ci (168ci, 180hp), I would think that it would be higher..
  12. The csv isnt really an additional injector. It is a cold start valve and is designed to be held open for a long time. It cant respond nearly as quickly as an actual injector. I am interested in the timing deal. I want to run a turbo on my na motor, but only 7lbs or less boost. Just to clarify, I can lock out the mechanical advance, set the base timing around 18deg, and let the vac advance do the rest? Eventually I would hook up my megasquirt to control spark, but not right away if I dont really have to...
  13. I was given a 5-pin HEI with wiring and I am thinking that I may be able to use the HEI to fire the coil. Will the HEI fire with a 12v square wave input? I am tired of having a perf coil with a friggin ballast resistor.
  14. Does anyone know of a good dyno in/near vegas that does MS?
  15. There is a potentiometer tps out there that will bolt right up to a 280z tb. The thing to look for is the width of the 'wings' on the tps and a three wire connector coming off the side. Im sure if you come up with a wiring diagram that mates a megasquirt to the stock harness, you would have a lot of interested people.
  16. What about NA cars? Does anyone know if it would be safe to mount it in the existing bung on my MSA 3-2 headers? Or should I put a new bung down on the collector?
