Rob, when trying to start fuel is coming in the injectors but there is no spark coming, so can say not starting at all. I doubt its because of accelerator pedal as we have cable driven throttles not like drive by wire in VQ35DE, still not an expert there so dont know. One guy said I can try getting an ECU, immobilizer and key from some 2002-2004 maxima and try that. I will appreciate if you can contact the person with 910 bluebird (was that a yellow one?) For the picture I will check once I goto see the car today or tomorrow as its in another city.

Tirerack down man but some tires not all and then shipping kills it.Dynamat is good didnt drive it earlier so cant compare but car is a bit quiet Was away for a small vacation dropped the car earlier around two weeks back for wiring job as lots of body wires were there from old engine and stock ones wanted to clean up everything. for your query will check today. Also sent the dashboard to get it wrapped in leather and alcantara along with the side boards as cracks were appearing again because of the heat here. Transmission mount is blocking the down pipe might need to be altered again once car is done, this gearbox is really big for the tunnel Dowpipe flange custom made because of space Few pics of mounts and tie rod ends custom done to move the steering rack Removed the dashboard and its a wiring chaos back there But now after hooking up everything car is not starting seems like NATS issue, havent gone to the shop and check it not sure what to do for NATS as I thought VQ30DET comes without NATS earlier ones and have no idea how to resolve it without going for stand alone as thats the last thing I want to do, maybe will check with UPREV people as on VQ35DE/37 you can remove NATS with uprev. All I have is the harness and ecu and I doubt I can find a gloria or CIMA here to get other parts required? Any suggestions

All engine in Dubai are from Australia as well and most of the ones people using here are from Holden, saw very few from R31 and Nissan Patrol but all sold as same.

Car will be a long term project, as parts are very expensive and wanted to keep the originality in the car a bit. Planned to so far on parallel is getting some GTR flares, cut the flares people usually keep the surf lines on sedan, install front lip and change wheels along with fixing the rust holes on the door but not painting it all now. Winter is coming here which is more like summer of USA/Europe so want to use the car along with the Z till March and collect parts along the line once major stuff is there will open for a full body and paint job It has L20 so L28 or L30 would be an excellent upgrade, I would prefer RB25DE but then registration will be a problem for RHD registration they have very strict policy here

Thanks Tony, Damages so far are around 1.5¥ and close to 1.6m¥ shipped to Dubai

Guys wanted to share my new project/ride. Being a hardcoare nissan fan been searching for a skyline a while (8 months) finally managed to get hold of a 1972 Skyline 2000GT. Saw it on yahoo auctions infact was there for past few months, asked my agent to contact the dealership and check the car. He went down in Kawasaki area and saw/drove the car, it has little bit of visible rust on drivers side doors nothing which cant be taken care of easily. Apart from that it drove fine and body looks good as well, my agent was told its in original paint but i havent seen any record of Nissan offering Black sedan in that time, only colours I have seen being offered are six, but not bothered about that. The details what I have seen and heard so far are: Its a 1972 2000GT Sedan Kouki Model Engine seems to be modified L20 with triple carbs, headers not sure what else is there but sounds and drives fine AC is there seems to be stock offered by factory Coilovers & Power steering. Hayashi wheels Payment is being made and paperwork is going on, hopefully will be loaded in the container sometime next week and 25 days will land on dubai

Difficult to find here I was looking for 225/50/15 but couldnt find anything i dont think there are any 235 with 50 wall height. anyways these are some Thailand cheap tires will use to break in the engine, then might order 225/45/15 hankook ventus Thanks bud My rear is without any spacers now and its 10.5 it comes out nicely with fender flares front not sure if you would need a spacer or not I guess all depends on how low you are as their 9"width is -13 same as Watanabe which looks good as well But I dont get it you bought the wheels without having a car?

Im almost reaching there, weather isint great to go and stay at the shops and so is the place small roadside places. Last week updates Got the flexalite fan mounted on the griffin radiator with custom mounts In the car, closed the stock radiator holes will make new ones from the sides for flush fan fitment Intercooler, AC condensor and fan Intercooler needed custom pipes welded to come in the engine bay because of odd stock holes All radiator, concdoesor and interocooler mounted Custom intake and IC piping welded and polished Yesterday went there again and took the below update Guy did a decent job on the intercooler pipes and mounting brackets, some pipes got some scratches he will get those polished those again. Made an aluminium radiator cooling plate seems a bit big but will make changes later if needed, good thing is looks a bit cleaner as the whole space is closed from front grill to the radiator, can polish or powder coat it or maybe wrapped in CF Do you guys suggest to make some holes or slits in it as was worried if air will pull it up while driving Piping seems to be good, MAF sensor is near the intake pipe long with BOV, only thing which im not that feeling is the pipe for ar filter which goes across the other side but there was no space on the other side.

There is some more progress Got the flexalite fan mounted on the griffin radiator with custom mounts In the car, closed the stock radiator holes will make new ones from the sides for flush fan fitment Intercooler, AC condensor and fan Intercooler needed custom pipes welded to come in the engine bay because of odd stock holes All radiator, concdoesor and interocooler mounted Custom intake and IC piping welded and polished Courtesy of Atara Racing and Carbonsignal their agent locally for sponsoring my car, got my wheels 15 X 10.5 -32 square setup in bronze looks really good with huge lip there and weight also around 15lb each wheel will use these for a while then might switch to WORK Some tire stretching going on 225/60/15 That is poking but wide fender flares will take care of that found them a bit high so changed the tires to 205/60/15, more pics later in few days

Going on will post updates, making some custom mounts for the radiator Some update on wheels as previous wheels offsets with fender flares was not pretty aggressive had to run big spacers so I did sell those in Feb and ordered a similar set with aggressive offsets and custom bronze lip through Ravspec. finally after 5 months these reach Dubai yesterday. Work CR01 15 X 9 - 28 and 15 x 10 -28, with custom bronze anodized lip, Sorry for crappy phone pics but these look so sick in person at times you dont want them to put on the car and make these dirty lol Unfortunately wont be installing these at the moment as Z got sponsored from Atara Racing and they sent their wheels more like Watanabe Reps with square setup 15 x 10.5 -32 and those also reached yesterday what a timing , Once car is all done and running again thee CR01 will go on the car. Z at the moment getting radiator custom brackets and intercooler piping done will post some updates in coming days.

Hey Rob, Thanks for the reply, was looking forward to your built how it drives and other things. Mine took some time mainly because of the steering rack which I changed. Engine was all done last week just took it yesterday to get the inter-cooler piping and radiator done after that wiring job will start. I am still not sure if there is NATS in my car or not as engine is slightly newer still hoping there should be. Will try to run on stock ECU else might change to stand alone adaptronic to have a cleaner look and more tunnability. Let me know if you have any suggestions regards to wiring to stand alone ECU. Posting a picture as engine was few days back Thanks

VQ37 is a nice engine but it requires a lot of wiring work to make it run because of the VVEL. On Z33/34 platform if boosted VQ35HR is a better choice over 37. One other combo people using is VQ40 block and VQ35HR head nice NA power there

Didint like it that much and was a bit heavy compared to this. I sold the RB to install first RB26DE with ITBs but then after selling that plan went down the drain and start looking for VQ35DE, while searching came across this so went with a turbo one again. I think 200lb lighter and midship engine character along with better reliability then RB this might fit the bill better. 4 cams are better then 2

Moving the compressor is a bigger job so first will try this then see if anything else is needed Those red pipes are just going in intake pipe from manifold. Radiator I went with Griffith 19 x24 double pass one pics are there in previous page. Both inlet and outlet are on right side so would need to move one to driver side. Yeah pulled out the stock hood latch will use hood locks on the sides, there isint big issue with these hoods to open up while driving so just locking thing should be ok

Almost done engine and gear part and also he steering rack, just finalizing all things then to install radiator and intercooler

Yeah it will be welded to the fender wall as so Dar we just testing it and after everything works good will do a spot weld with a brace. Coming to moving the U joint a but it's not allowing we tried a kit the fabricator is really good he knows his job. With this setting we tried turning there was a hump coming inside on steering wheel so we took out everything and making some adjustments.

I shaved the middle and lower intake around 20mm combined and now clearance is good its just touching the hood lock part which is more of the bulge in the hood can be handled easily, or maybe will keep hood an inch open JDM style hahahal. The part which was touching the hood was the extreme most corner parts towards the firewall rest intake was not that bad I think I managed to work a way around it . Steering rod is done with some U joints, how it will perform no idea as engine is not running but so far looks good. there is an inch clearance from the AC compressor now. Moving AC compressor is always an option but get a bit difficult on aluminium blocks Coming back to sterring rack and shaft added some smaller U joints and removed the stock coupler near firewall, angle seems to be kind of steep around 100-110 deg but as of now turning it right. We managed to add a bearing through which the rod goes next to the engine and its mounted in the chassis rail from bottom and a bracket on the side so avoiding any movement of rod in any direction.

Finally managed to get the power steering rack done, it was really a PIA to get this going, because of AC compressor blocking it, now added some U joints and removed the stock coupler near firewall, angle seems to be steep but as of now turning it right. We managed to add a bearing through which the rod goes next to the engine and its mounted in the chassis rail from bottom and a bracket on the side so avoiding any movement of rod in any direction.

Cant wait for the engine to be there
