  1. Hey guys, I just got my new upgraded turbo from TEC and I was wondering if the upgrade differences are different mainly internally. The only difference I see visually is the new housing has a 2 on it instead of the stock one has a 1. I'll take pictures later. The invoice says Upgrade Stage 1
  2. I just followed up with FEDEX and they said they delivered it to the wrong street and I should have it today! Problem should be solved!
  3. Hey guys, I bought a t3/t4 upgraded turbo from Turbo Engineering Corp a couple weeks ago. The sales person I was dealing with said the it would be here last Wednesday but didn't send the tracking number. I got home Wednesday after work and no turbo, OK with me, maybe Thursday. Thursday-Friday, still no turbo. So I e-mailed him asking if he could check the tracking number and let me know. Today, he got back to me with the tracking number and said I probably want to call him. According to FEDEX, the turbo was left at the front door Thursday morning at 9:54am. I called the salesperson and he pretty much just said to talk to FEDEX and see what they say. So I called and they said they will contact the driver and get back to me. The reason I am writing is to ask what would you do? Should I contact my credit card company and see if they have some insurance type thing or anything, incase we cannot find this turbo? AND shouldn't a company like TEC be sending out $700 turbo's signature confirmation and hopefully insured? Thanks guys and sorry for the rant, just been a tough week waiting for this thing...
  4. I have been talking with Harry at Turbo Engineering Corp. and so far he has been very helpful. I should have my t3/t4 turbo within a couple of days and I'll let you know how it is.
  5. I bought a turbo with a cracked casting so I need a 280zx stock turbo for my swap. PM me or e-mail me at cloutierjoe@gmail.com with whatever you got.
  6. First time I went to pick up an old girlfriend, her guardian (adopted) asked me about my $365 94 in a 55 ticket. He was chill though because he knew I was a good kid because he had seen me around the gym before. Then another time I was working out at the gym and he was on duty saying hi to the guy who owned it, so he decided to hand cuff me in front of everyone and pull me out of the gym. He's a cool guy.
  7. How about "How much trouble has your Z GIVEN you??" 3 months and still can't figure out whats wrong! I guess to answer this thread, it has not gotten me into any trouble,... yet.
  8. There's only the MSA downpipe on it. We can try to go over the sensors I guess. Already swapped out AFM, going to swap out the coil to my Blaster 2.
  9. So we checked out the turbo yesterday and it spins freely and the wastegate is not stuck open. We drove around and played with the fuel pressure gauge and the fuel pressure regulator and hoping that the fuel pump is not keeping up with the engine. Ordered a walbro 255 and will keep ya'll updated. If that doesn't fix it, we will be back.
  10. I had a feeling that's what you guys were talking about. Thanks for trying to help me out!
  11. We are talking about the rubber inner shift boot that bolts to the transmission tunnel right? Not the little one that is on the transmission.
  12. Really? wow, send me a link. The one's I found for an s30 where $19.
  13. Very cool fabrication and all, but I would not have used a Ferrari setup to build a Citroen/VW Bug/moving van.
  14. Trying to see if anyone is helpful in saving me some money.
  15. I need a nice inner shift boot for my 74 260z. They are all the same, s30's. Let me know if you have a non-ripped one.
  16. howd you cut out a 2.25" hole?
  17. Thanks, one should be on its way now.
  18. Hi, I need a fuel pressure regulator from a turbo car. *I'm not sure if they are the same as NA cars, but let me know if you know! Thanks, Joe
  19. Hey guys, We bled the brakes and got a very slow leak from the Valve below the Master Cylinder. So we swapped out the line for another and still had the leak. Then we swapped out the valve, and still have a slow leak, but from another port. By slow leak, I mean if you hold it, some fluid slowly comes out and eventually finds its way down a brake line ruining my new paint. Sometimes it leaks when pumping and holding the pedal, and sometimes it doesn't. It is all stock lines, with a stock 260z booster and a 15/16 master cylinder and s12+8 calipers. 3 of the corners bleed great, but fluid leaks out of the bleeder screw on one of the Toyota calipers when opening the screw to bleed. The car stops, but is a little spongy. Do you think we need all new lines? Or could the bleeder screw from one of the Toyo calipers be messing the the bleeding of the system, creating a leak?
  20. It ok, don't worry about it. Ya, I was thinking about trying to find some scrap metal and have some guys at the shop I work at try to make me something. Or draw a part up and get some made then sell them here or something.
  21. The stock downpipe definitely bolts up to the turbo with a 4-bolt pattern.
  22. I keep finding a lot of 90deg bolt patterns.
  23. Thank you, I just sent them e-mails for dimensions. The first one from Ebay gave me dimensions of a 3" bolt spacing and a 4" diagonal bolt spacing, which was definitely wrong and the picture matches most of the ones on the websites so I'm assuming they are wrong also. Hopefully one company has some good dimensions, or hopefully someone here has a part number of a successful flange they used. Thanks for more leads!
  24. No one has bought a flange when building their own exhaust? I know Warren made some but that was long ago. I got 1 company to write me back but it wasn't correct size.
  25. Hey guys, I just bought 3" piping to build my exhaust for my turbo swap into my 74 260z. I want to build it up to the turbo outlet and was searching for flanges but there was only 1 post that showed a place in New Zealand that may have had the flange needed. I was wondering if this looks like it will work, I e-mailed them for dimensions but they forwarded me to another company who I haven't heard from yet. http://www.racepartsolutions.com/products.asp?cat=105&pg=3 It's at the bottom of the page. T3 Turbo Discharge Flange. I was thinking I can get that, or a correct one, then a 2.5" - 3" expander. Any help would be great, and I'll keep searching in the meantime. Hoping to buy it today so I can have it by next weekend. Thanks, Joe
