Sorry guys I lost internet connection at my homa and am trying to get it back. So you all know i have received the RB26 andd have already torn it completely down and sent most of it to the machine shop. Once i have more time i will fill you all in on how to force UPS to get your package and do a write up of the progress. I have to say that it is awesome. So the main question: I have the head gasket that came with the master gasket set but am kinda queezy about using it. What is The OEM gasket capable of? What gaskets do any of you gentlemen have experience with and know what they are capable of if you can help you would be known as "awesome" forever. thanks look for a lot of pictures soon

HOLY $H#T!!! So we went down to she UPS dock and talked to everyone we could. They were actually very helpful. We were assured that the clip was ,in fact, in the Phoenix yard. The problem is that theyu dont know where in the yard it is. It looked like the property was three square miles big. AHHH well at least we are a little closer to having it

After dealing with corporate it seems to be that there is a strike or something at the Phoenix freight warehouse. No one at the warehouse will scan the barcode on the crate. we were told that it really has to be just sitting in the phoenix warehouse but there isn't anyont to confirm. Of course they are closed on the weekend so come monday we will try to raise a little hell. Tiger, by the way, is continuing to be very helpful. They have been putting some heat on UPS as well. Oh well hopefully tomorrow night i will be able to post pics of the clip that actually made it to my house. Wish me luck

Trust me i'm planning on it

Ok the clip was ordered and shipped a few weeks from tiger in canada. Tiger immediately sent me a tracking number (tiger has been great to deal with so far by the way). As of last friday morning the tracking number said it was in Portland. We called UP$ corprate and fount out the clip was here in phoenix on wednesday and we needed to schedule a time to deliver for yesterday. After calling the local warehouse to schedule for house with no answer i called corprate back and was told they would get back to me. This morning i called only for them to fess-up and tell me that no one knows where my clip is:icon8: . HOW DID THEY LOOSE THE FRONT OF A CAR?!?! They put out an "emergency bulliten" and told me they would make contact within 24 hours so much for tear down this weekend. NOw i'm sad and bored.

First off don't get mad at me for asking this. I did a search and never really found a definate answer for this question. For an r32 Rb26dett that will be kept fairly stock and not really be pushed higher than 350 hp, is it possible to use the N1 oil pump and not install the new drive collar and still be able to sleep well? I was told that the drive collar really only causes the pump to break when you are gonna push over 450 or so horses. Yes i already know, everyone is wondering why i bought the motor if Im not gonna push it. The plan is that we are going to get it going and have a little fun while its in with no major mods. And in about 8 months or so the motor is coming out and being completely built to withstand all we can throw at it spare no cost. so if you know if it will work or not let me know

i was told by Dave at ArizonaZcar to try B&B in phoenix. Has anyone heard of them?

About the pathfinder, all this was done at the test center where we couldnt take camera phones due to all the Top-secret cars and work bein done. So unfortunately no i have no pics. I really would not want to get sued. Ya i was thinking about takin the internals out. Is it possible to just mate a shaft to the output of the trans and just put the t-case in the junk pile?
-
thanks a lot for the help ill try to call them and see what they can offer.
-
So the 26 gets in next tuesday so by tuesday night it will be in a hundred pieces. Obviously the first addressed issue will be the oil pump collar. I live in chandler az and i need to find a machine shop that can do this. I would really like to go somewhere that has already done this before so if you know of anyone near here please let me know. Thanks Manny

I have worked for Nissan/Infiniti for several years now including one year doing a lot of one-off stuff at the Arizona test center. I remember once taking an older 4wd Pathfinder ,taking the t-case off and slipping a drive shaft in the trans output. Odviously we had the computer freaking out but we were able to Consult out way through it. It looked weird from underneath but it ran. And yes ,i know, Pathfinder 4wd system is a world different from the rb26 atessa system, so dont burn me on that one. Has anyone ever trued mating a custom shaft to the output of the trans without the case attached? Or is that just a far fetched dream? I'm not trying to speak from my behind i just need to know some facts. Yes i have searched this subject but have not heard of someone trying this. Please help if you can. Thanks

As of current the budget is about 9k, however we are still selling a few things including a 73 dart if anyone is interested

Sorry, I am trying to spend as little time on the computer as possible so I didn't proofread it.

here is the deal my roommate finally got his bank loan for the rb26 now we need to actually buy it.i have already done plenty to rb20/25 swaps/repair but i know the 26 is still extremely different. the first issue i have is which model to purchase. i am leaning toward the the r32/33 motor for the reason that it is still obd I and therefore would make wiring and troubleshooting a lot easier. with this i also know of the persistant oil collar problem and will need to be addressed when the motor is in. ya i know its a 5 and not the 6 speed but the 5 is still bulletproof. i do not know anyone who has done one from an r34 so if you have any info i will be studying your advice hard issue no. 2 is who to buy it from. i live in phoenix az and have tried to contact a local importer but unfortunately for him he forgot how to return calls. i can easily have it shipped to loading dock of the infiniti shop i work for so im really not worried about shipping. i need an importer that is relaible i dont want to get it withoun piping, the MASS, or anything like that so if you know of anyone please advertise for them and let me know. any random, useful or just anything anyone can offer is greatly appreciated and im sure will be repaid somewhere along the line by somebody thanks a lot guys and ladies please reply
