  1. Welcome Starking. It is very possible to do this over a several period time makes it easier in some ways but a little harder in others. I applaud your interest in this and hope to see a killer project out of it. Now one thing budget-wise: A majority of the purchases for this swap will be several hundred or, very easily, thousand dollars at one time. Im not saying to take out a 15g loan or anything but just know the motor or trans itself is not the only one time expensive peice of the puzzle. Also do you mean that for 4 grand you can get an r32 gtr motor set with the rb25 trans included?
  2. That is awesome!! I need one now. I was just riding home when some young chick decided to gun the throttle as I passed in front of her. Needless to say my bike is totaled and I'm hurting like hell. So if anyone has an awesome road bike let me know. Again Such an awesome bike great work!!!
  3. Simply amazing work Stony!!!
  4. I ride a bike to work then the gym then back home everyday, It is about 18 miles roundtrip. Summer, spring and fall i would ride with "greater Arizona bike association" every saturday for about 45-60 miles.
  5. Hey guys Lets try to gety a little crowd at firebird tonight to make some last passes of the year (brian that means you). Jer and myself will be there with the red RB car, with new and improved goodness. So if you need an excuse to get out and run the car in phoenix's recent stupid cold weather then meet us there tonight!
  6. Our rb20 gets power and switched ground straight from the ecu so we just opted to run the resistor near the ecu and put it in a little box and make it look really nice (ecu and resistors are in the glove box). No AFC yet but we have an ECU tuned for the 440s and all the other stuff we have added. The ecu was "tuned" by Carl H (nico forums) in North Carolina. He did an awesome job and for a great price. So the car runs awesome now thanks for everyones help once again.
  7. Ran into this same problem a few weeks ago. Read 4ohms across the 444 injectors and 13ohms across the rb20 260's. Ended up using 10w 10ohm resistors. I really doubt you will easily find anything else.
  8. Look for 'Carl H' on nico. He will modify and repair the factory ecu. He may be able to repair and 'tune' the fried ecu while you limp around on the spare. We sent him our ecu on friday afternoor and got it back on wednesday for about 140 shipped. Shoot him an email and see what he says. Just the cheapest, easiest and prob quickest route.
  9. http://my.break.com/content/view.aspx?ContentID=400488 that spot of the new 202 if perfect for high speed runs:)
  10. Congrats on the grad!!! Kinda bummed that now when we meet up at the track with all the RB cars we will be one short. Good luck finding a job man its kinda hard at this time of year but dont get down good things do happen.
  11. I think safety regulations may play a little into the weight NVH and comfort and big in the car too. Everything is a give and take situation. However this car gives a lot
  12. Ok now we changed the setup. Resoldered everything back to stock and installed new resistors (thanks brian) on the ecu ground side of all six injectors. Now on the ground side to not rob any power from the injector but to keep the ecu safe. There is definately fuel pressure and now the injectors are clicking but still not running. Still starts and runs with brakeclean so the spark is still good. we can hear the clickin with the stethoscope while the engine is cranking over. However, it will not light up a good bosch noid light. This is frusturating the **** out of me now. Please what am I still doing wrong.
  13. Have you ever seen inside an R34 engine bay from the factory. It was outrageously cluttered and everything was extremely hard to get to. Trust me I am not saying that the GT-R is going to be fun to work on (especially with all the new warranty restrictions) but it still incredible. The RB's have had oil squirters for a while as well as many nissan motors (sr and i think some ka) If you cant see that this car is amazing (look at its track times) and look past the body shape then you are way to stubborn. I cant wait till Top Gear gets one and lest the stig run it. Thank God for DVR
  14. Also it did run before for about 10 min without the pipe and starting with the air of the brake clean. now it wont run on its own at all. Only with the brake cleaner. I can still hear the injectors clicking and there is fuel pressure. The car ran beautifully a day ago. AAAHHHH
  15. We had known that a few of our injectors were leaking from the seals and therefore needed new seals. After playing around at the dealership we found that the KA24e (single cam) Injector o-rings worked for the top feed RB's. When swapping the rings one of the injectors , of course, rolled off the bench and cracked on the floor. We stole the 440's from the gtr project and installed them. Here is where the trouble starts. I know the 20 injectors are high impedance and the 26's are low. after reading tons of posts we knew that we needed a sort of dropping resistor. I have done this for the GTR's (http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=126218) and worked out great but the difference is that we just ran straight switched on power then split into six with resistors and ran that to the injectors. The 20 is different so we found the power to the injectors coming from pin 109 out of the ecu and then goes to a 6 pin connector directly above the intake. We installed a 10 ohm resistor here because it was nearly impossible to put resistors any closer to the injectors. At first the car wouldn't start. Took the pipe off the Tb and did the good ole brake cleaner method. it fired and ran (throttle slightly open). With a stethoscope it seemed like the injectors were firing . It ran for several minutes, however when we tried to go wot or put the cold pipe back on the engine would sputter and nearly die. No codes so far. Any ideas. Did we do the resistance part correctly. Please remember its a lot different than the 26. Heard of plenty of people doing this mod but could not come across a detailed description. By the way the 20 is obviously out of an ECCS R32 and so is the 26 we stole the injectors from . PLEASE HELP HURRY!!!!
  16. Just look at these numbers http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=127559
  17. When I think about it m least expensive tool (free) is my most used POCKET SCREWDRIVER
  18. Definately in the wrong section, however its still awesome. I have tried a few times to get my hands on a roadster like that. From what I have seen and heard the rb or and long engines like that will not fit and most v8s have clearance issues with shock towers. I hope Im wrong cuz I would love to see this come to life. Good luck
  19. Fornd a last minute flight deal So flying into BWI on saturday and staying till tuesday afternoon. If anything is going on let me know. Maybe i can meet up in my econobox rental.
  20. Great runs and vids spencer. We all need to do a track day at the strip or even autocross soon.
