  1. not mine, but just saw it. Someone can get a really good deal on this http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/1613202996.html
  2. I searched but didn't see anything relevant... Would it be possible to implement trader ratings where people can rate transactions with each other?
  3. Well, that's my current issue... I need to apply more shift in the front to fix the trans lateral issue...I think. I will try your idea this weekeend and see if it works out. thanks!
  4. Yeah, we had to widen the holes just to be able to put the bolts through to the rubber mount. There's not a lot of space left to slot it, but that's what I'll wind up doing Usually I'm paranoid about damaging stuff I spent money on, hence, I ask Are you also suggesting slotting the motor mount holes further? I might have to do that as well because the front mounts may not allow me to rotate the tranny further even if I slot the crossmember holes
  5. Hm... Well, the problem I have is that the mount won't properly clear the rails, and it's sitting offset. It looks like the transmission needs to sit lower than the stock position (height can be adjusted easily, that's not the major issue), but the sideways alignment is the problem. Right now the transmission's tail is tilted to the driver's side, and in order to make it straighter, I have to chop more off of transmission mount's end because it hits the Baddog frame rail. As a result, the adjustable pass side motormount cannot go any further either
  6. So, I haven't gotten a chance to work much on the Z, but yesterday tried to iron out the transmission issue... something is very weird. The motor is set on the JCI mounts, I pounded out the floor walls to make the crossmember fit. I had to grind some of the trans crossmember side down, but it's still not enough. I don't want to make too many unnecessary cuts if I'm missing something stupid simple. Anyway, the transmission is slightly skewed to the driver's side. You can see the crossmember hitting the baddog rail, even though about 3/4" have been ground off the edge. This is not an issue on the other side, in fact, there's a bit of clearance. The driveshaft angle is a few degrees off from optimum. Also, height seems to be off, as it looks like I have to use spacers for the trans crossmember, or a shorter mount? The engine is set on the front mounts, with the adjustable mount maxed out at its pivot point, so I can't angle it anymore from that perspective. Any insight? Am I just missing something? Anyone else run into this issue?
  7. about 9 years ago my buddy bought a porsche 914. He calls me up one day and says "hey, come help me drive my car back, I'm stuck at work. Throttle cable broke" So, we ran the throttle cable from the back over the t-tops around 9pm, and I sat there controlling the throttle while he operated everything else. After a while we got in sync so he didn't have to tell me when to gas it. However it was much funnier when we were on the freeway next to a cop, and I floored it on purpose
  8. inline nissan v6, passes smog by just having the mechanic look at it
  9. You're always gonna have problems lifting a body in one piece. Apparently the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together. And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig ♥♥♥♥, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".
  10. If you think about it, you're dumping at least $2000 into the swap to do it right. Cost of the manual is less than 2% of that cost.
  11. pretty awesome! I'll have to stop by some time to check it out, if you don't mind (not this weekend though). Forgot to ask what the exhaust guy charged you (since I'll need one of my own) and how come you didn't weld in the camber plates? anyway, looks real good!
  12. I remember watching a show about a Superbird losing braking and handling matches to a toyota minivan loaded with cheerleaders
  13. Don't know if you guys read the specs on the NEW 2011 mustang v6 and GT coming up, but the v6 is going to be a 3.7 dohc v6, 305hp, and the GT will have a 5.0 (actual 5.0, not 4.9) v8, making 412hp with 6500rpm redline, while weighing 15 lbs more than the current 4.6 v8 engine.
  14. In stock configuration, they can outhandle a 240z. According to one of hte latest C&D mags, mustang gt on par with nismo 370z. And until the nismo's brakes failed and it went into the wall
  15. By the way, where did you have your exhaust done?
  16. ahhah! next time keep a chainsaw by the door, just in case. Or a machete. I do!

  18. In other news, Dan Juday has been checking out my ass
  19. could also be that he removed the strut spacer, which is actually a bearing that rotates and prevents your coils from binding. Bad idea.
  20. Mine is encouraging me, and telling me she wants to hang out with me while I work on the car. She's also fallen in love with the 350z, specifically white ones. I think this one's a keeper She also hates valentine's day and chocolate
