Steam punk is a trend based on what science fiction would look like in Jules Verne's era, ie. victorian. For example, steam punk ghostbusters: think lots of steam, gear cogs, brass, etc. What I did was "cheap" compared to the other stuff. So my costume was essentially what I thought a storm trooper would look like around 1900AD
