  1. I've got a high flowing turbo, and a rotary... backpressure = not good. What would you recommend for a streetable muffler that has an inner diameter closer to 3"? My original plan was borla xr-1 in the middle, and this muffler at the back. Also, I'd like to try to keep the costs down more
  2. I bought a Pro XS stainless muffler, center/offset configuration. Very free flowing, non-chambered. it's supposed to be 3" in / 3" out, but that's just the goddamn endtanks. the actual inside perforated tube is 2.4" in diameter!!! grrrr . even the box says 14x9.5 oval 3" /3". Nowhere on Borla's page does it mention the tube shrinking, nor does it show it in the diagram!
  3. I dunno, Tim.... you're old. Where are you?
  4. This guy is going to die in prison, probably of a smashed skull. Two types of people prisoners despise: crooked cops in jail, and child molestors, because many have kids of their own By WILLIAM KATES ASSOCIATED PRESS WRITER SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A judge Wednesday sentenced Timothy Lucie to 50 years to life in prison for raping his 11-year-old daughter, who later hanged herself. Lucie, 46, was convicted last month of first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and endangering the welfare of a child. He was accused of sexually assaulting his 11-year-old daughter, Valerie, in the shower at their Syracuse home Sept. 30. Hours later her 8-year-old brother found her hanging from her bedpost by a dog collar and leash in what police said was an apparent suicide. A furniture business owner, Lucie confessed to the rape after a six-hour interrogation on Oct. 13. He then recanted as police prepared to put the confession on videotape. Lucie claimed his confession was coerced by police, who he said threatened to arrest his wife and take away his four younger sons if he didn't admit to the sexual attack.
  5. ok, true story. I was supposed to meet bubb rubb a little over a year ago a buddy named adam (adamgeek.com, apexfilms.com, apexstunts.com) purchased the domain for bubbrubb.com. Got lot of hits, message board, etc. Then he decided to interview bubb rubb after getting in touch with him. So, bubb rubb lives in middle of ghetto oakland. Adam is in washington. Adam drives down here after filming some bike stunting in NV to Bay Area. bunch of us from another board were supposed to meet bubb rubb with him. Bubb rubb lagged and lagged, and we all called it quits. Adam, however, didn't give up and interviewed him at the house about midnight.. Now, imagine couple of scrawny pale white guys carrying about 10k worth of camera video equipment in middle of ghetto oakland. At midnight... Nothing bad happened, but it was just funny. If you want to see some of the interview, and some good bike stunts, go to apexfilms.com and pick up the dvd Reasonable Doubt.
  6. dude..... 2 years ago... dude.... internet fad.... http://www.bubbrubb.com <--might be some semi-adult warning.
  7. I can definitely attest to that. Mine are about 75 % worn right now on the neon, and they made the trip from LA very not quiet otherwise, stickiest cheapest tire you can get without getting into race tire territory. I squeezed about 15-17k out of mine
  8. Well, I went to harbor freight and got a Hobart 125 for $329 (sears sells it for 350 AFTER rebate). Yeah guys, I know, should've gotten a 135 because the gas conversion is already installed. However, it was $470 and I can't spend that much money, and the work I'm doing is not something that would be visible. I can always buy a gas conversion kit late for about 100 bucks
  9. i'd buy it, but I already have a Z and no cash to spend on other Z cars
  10. great. I just got a confirmation frmo sears that my order is ready for pickup. should I just go to the store and return it right away, or try it out, and then return it?
  11. sears sucks. I ordered a craftsman 115V mig that's rated to weld up to 3/16" steel for 299 from their site about 3 weeks ago. Guess what I don't have? I'm contemplating cancelling my order and getting a hobart mig 125 unit from harbor freight, since they're local and have these in stock. Any feedback?
  12. block off plate on hte OMP here, and 2 stroke premix in the tank.

  14. backstory: About 2 years ago, after my crossdressing roommate moved out, I requested the management to change the locks. Then I asked again. And again. Obviously, there's a pattern there. Then the apt. management had the audacity to BILL me for $60 for lock change. I politely told them to fornicate themselves because the job was never done About 2 months ago, I got a notice stating that I owe them $36, and if I don't pay within 3 days to move out. Didn't say WHY. I called, and called again, and finally managed to get a hold of someone to question as to why I owe $36. Reply came in form of "uh... I'm not sure, we'll look into it and get back to you" Great. Don't hear a peep for 2 months, until yesterday. I get home to find a notice taped to my door stating something to the effect of: "Dear sir, it has come to our attention that you owe us $36. Pay up or get out". I get pissed off. I leave a message on the answering machine for them to call me at work to sort this shit out, because I'm tired of them trying to weasel money out of me. I get home today, and there's another note on my door, and a message on my HOME answering machine. "Hello, I got your message, we're trying to track down why you owe us $36, but in the mean time it has come to our attention that you haven't paid your security deposit of $930, and we would like to look into that." As I am listening to that, I am holding my apt. contract where it says I paid for the ******* thing. I open the envelope, and it's an official letter telling me I moved into the apt and signed the lease in 1992 (ah yes, when I was 14 years old, and a freshman in HS!) and never paid my security deposit! idiots
  15. I think the new dodge srt-4 motor in a Z would be a very good swap. It makes about 270hp at the crank in stock form (severely underrated from factory for '04), and if you can get a nice 5 speed for it to use for rwd, it'd be an excellent platform
  16. you ditching your rotary idea already!?
  17. The viper uses same t56 as an f-body, just different bellhousing.

    ///Z

    Most of Z swaps are budget oriented. An e46 m3 motor itself costs about 15k used on ebay
  19. what? goatse...????? you're a sick bastard, mike http://www.coatesengine.com oh yeah, next time google it up
  20. I don't think it's a good idea, for the same reasons Drax240 stated. You're shaving 2 cylinders off, and the motor's naturally aspirated. You can squeeze maybe 200-210 crank hp on pump gas if you build it right. Or you can get an sr20det making 205hp in factory form weighing about 50 lbs more at most, and running 7psi. Turn it up to 11 psi without changing any internals, and you're good to go
