  1. i am pretty sure that's a 3 liter dohc v6 from a vr4
  2. First gen Toyota MR2 seats. Here are pics of the install: http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=20527&highlight=
  3. I need a 255lph or so external fuel pump for the rotary. It will operate at 42-43 psi for the injection, and will be supplying fuel to 2 x 550cc injectors, and 2 x 720cc injectors. The feed is coming from sumped fuel cell, so it needs to be an external inline unit. Any recommendations and model numbers with prices? I was thinking of something like a Walbro GSL392 unit.
  4. nic: only 98+ cosmos are 3 rotor. 93-97 (my engine) is a 2 rotor. The 70s/80s cosmo isn't turbo, so, not worth it. vintage: no, it's not ported. The 13b-re has bigger intake runners and port openings from factory, so it's like a factory street port, so to speak. The engine's designed to move around a heavy sport coupe that seats 4, not a lightweight sportscar, so they made it have more low end grunt. Hence the smaller turbos too
  5. nope, no chance of driving the z to rio vista, sorry
  6. you could redrill the 280z hub for 5 lug pattern, that's what alsil did.
  7. probably next week would work, or sometime during this weekend, depends if i'm gonna be heading to mike d's shop or not.
  8. d'oh, sickness is getting to me. i misread that, sorry. When do you need pics, because if it's within next 2 days, I'd say negative, since I'm coming down with something unpleasant (flu, i think) as we speak -alex
  9. uh, don't know about Z haltech install, but you can call k2rd in san jose ( http://www.k2rd.com ) and they have some wiring diagrams for the rx7s, but they handle other cars as well
  10. sure,. watch the video. and didn't you watch tv in the early 90s? http://s87349172.onlinehome.us/ohyeah/
  11. David Karey bought one, I don't know how far along he is with the project.
  12. nic: if it's a mazda cosmo, and it's 98 or newer, then it has a 3 rotor. I find it rather odd that you'd have a newer cosmo complete car just sitting there though. 93-97 had my motor in it, the 2 rotor 13b-re twin turbo, the 98+ has 3 rotor 20b twin turbo. It could be just an older cosmo, imported to the US as a mazda 110, back in the 70s/80s. Just a heads up, I wouldn't do this again
  13. secured, at least. big thanks to my friend rob, and especially jon (jumbo240ez) for making the trek out to help out with welding. Motor's in the car, not as far back as most would expect though. These mounts still need some work, but they are the exact layout of where the motor needs to be, so I can start working around everything else now (turbo, piping, exhaust, etc) Driver side mount passenger side This is how low the oilpan hangs Engine's offset to the passenger side, front shot Some spare space up front 3 butterfly throttlebody All pics here: http://highrpm.org/af/motorin
  14. I wear baggy pants, Dan Shoes are size 11, pal, and I don't have to resort to giving my car a pair of testicles in the back to make up for lack of manly character actually, ignore the above remark: You have a 305 in your car. I don't have to come up with an insult, your car is an insult to itself. If it was a man, it'd be doing this:
  15. I suppose I could've shoved it in further, but it would've been more of a hassle for mounts. Huge props and thanks to Jumbo240ez for driving down and welding/fabbing stuff up with us.
  16. only problem is that nissan never made any 2+2 turbo 300zxs. all turbo vehicles were t-top coupes. If it's a 'vert or a 2+2, it's n/a from factory. Check out clubz.org and http://www.twinturbo.net for info and local club gatherings
  17. http://hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=23010 it's in the sticky at the top of this page.
  18. 3.90? dude, you're gonna run out of gear!
