  1. well i dont know the exaxt numbers but you CAN get it done for under 2500, maybe less depending on lots of things. RB25DE's don't come around much though....
  2. what is that satin black? Looks good. I tried to match the color of the timing cover, and i used an epoxy gloss black. The stock rocker color was just ugly, and probably a color that only your girlfriend could describe. Hey Q how much did that super damper weigh compared to the stock pulley?
  3. Thanks 280NR. Anyone know who makes this header? It has 1/2 primary's. 3'' collector, then narrows down to 2 7/16'' on the flange. I'm going to try to make it work. maybe cut off about 2'' from the flange and add some piping to connect to a new flange to fit the RB25. anyone? Input?
  4. I've been looking for a header for quite a while now and i found one made by COBY and is located in AUS. Specs are 1 1/2'' primary, 1 3/4 secondary, and 2'' outlet and its a tri y design. They want want $200 usd for the header, but shipping will be $173. On top of that it will take more than a month. So i was thinking I have My old 6-1 header (which is what im looking for) from my L28 sitting around which has a 2 1/2'' outlet, but i still have to measure the primarys. anyway, i was thinking maybe i could fab up a flange and use my old L28 header. anyone have any idea's why i couldnt use the header, or why i shouldnt? i'll take some pictures tomorrow. i dont even know what brand they are, bought them from a dude on a street corner, literally. My only concern is that the RB25 exhaust ports are evenly spaced out, opposed to the L series ports which arent ( see picture of header above)
  5. If your talking about the RB25DE/ RB20DET tranny, it should be the same as a USDM KA24 tranny fork, 89-98 240sx. Or SR20DET RWD trannys.
  6. What tranny are you refering to?
  7. I think stony is right on that one
  8. well, from my experience with SRDET's the stock boost soleniods are junk. I dont know anyone who actually uses them. as far as using the Greddy solenoid, why would you have to send a signal to the computer? what kind of signal does the solenoid need?
  9. I see that the header is a tri Y design. anyone know the differences between a tri-y and say 6-1, anything else? Hey Q can i borrow your stock manifold to make a copy of the flange so that i dont have to remove MY header?
  10. Dahm those are sexy. what is that stainless? any idea how much that costs?
  11. Holly Sh*t! What deal! Any other interesting things you see?
  12. I dont mean to be a jerk or anything, but i dont understand what your trying to get across here. Really, I want to help you though
  13. Thanks guys! I've probably done the quickest, easiest, and cheapest RB swap into a Z. It's nothing to get that excited about, but im happy with it! Does anybody know someone that can make a custom header for a straight 6 for under $400 bucks?
  14. I hope your being sarcastic, because im ghetto. lol
  15. Im using the stock RB25DE mounts. yeah, it did look kind of forward to me also. But, I don't think it was even an issue for me because I also added 80 + LBS of metal to the cabin. Car still handles great IMO.
  16. I had a Honda Fan laying around that pushed a good amount of air, so Used that. Honda Parts on a Nissan, you say? Yeah, I have a Honda Friend that just doesnt let that one go......
  17. Okay, finally got everything working propery, So these will be my "baseline" pictures. Hopefully my Friend that goes to UTI will let me dyno my car this friday so I can also get a baseline power output. Now, I can start modding My Super Duper High Flow Header! Fire Wall Clearence. Intake manifold / Pipe , Clearence to Hood. Home Depot Special. Here you can see I used the stock throttle linkage on the fire wall. Just cruised through a local J- yard for a long cable, cut the end and crimped and brazed it to the stock linkage. Also, conveiniantly there are several holes near the linkage so that you can bolt the cable on the firewall. Cheap, easy, and works great! header clearence. Future mods in order: 1. Headers! 2. 4.11 Diff 3. RB26 ITB's 4. Standalone ? Power FC? 5. Cams and Springs 6. Head work Wish me Luck!
  18. Sorry No can do on Thursday. School all day. I'll let you know when I can come and help though...
  19. MSA April 30th, SAT... I'm there. Hey Q wanna cruise through together? That is, If you Get your Car Running! Get E'r Dun!
  20. Is the MSA event just a buncha show cars? because I have to admit, my car is FAR from being show quality....
  21. Looks sharp. However, the cutoff points dont look straight. Remember to align those healights, it makes a HUGE difference for you, and oncoming traffic. Just do a quick search on how to aim/adjust/align headlamps. or check out rallylights.com they might have that info, if not check it out anyway, lots of neat stuff.
  22. Nice... I remember a while back, maybe like 03' i could have gotten a brand new set of Nissan fender mirrors for $ 160, those were the black ones though. I didnt buy them because i thought it was too much, guess i lost big time... I think it was nissanparts.com, somthing like that. does one of the mirrors have a different magnification?
  23. Just somthing to look at. IMO It looks like it flows much better than a modded stock front end.....
