LOL....oh you do, do you? lol....i hate to break this to you but that paint job is gonna come out looking not even nearly close to what color you expect if thats the case. Bayside Blue (TV2) is a 2 stage paint and you would need 1 gallon of EACH stage. Im in the process of painting one of my 240s bayside blue.... And the paint goes for about $500 a gallon retail and you need one gallon of each (i would never do this unless i had a paint hookup like i do)....they have cheaper paints that go for like $130 s gallon but it still wouldnt come out right.....anyways, with clear coat and whatnot your talking $1200 before labor....sounds like u got a cheap one step paint....i hope it comes slightly close for you but dont count on it.....
Don't be such a tool, go read the rules and mission statement. It's at the top of every section.

Have you tried other t-stats, maybe 180*?
-
Hahaha, nice shirt! Can't wait to see more progress on the build.
-
Don't have a whole lot of practacle experiance with the 280ZX but I don't remember ever seeing one with an R180 and half shafts before???
Dragonfly
That's how mine is, 79 also.

Something I free handed. Realized after the fact it looks a lot like the DB9. Still not quite finished.
That's awesome! I think I see a little C6 in there, too.

Paul,
What would be involved in machining out the custom 2" crank? What sort of (if any) heat treatment would be needed?
-
MC Eschernetics T-04?
Hahaha!!! I almost choked on some jerky when I read that.

I'm (hopefully) going to go see it in a few weeks. The guy is getting ready to take his LS1 FD down to Kentucky next week, so I don't know how long it's going to be. I can't wait!
-
holy crap, that's in my town! I'm going to see if I can go see it.
Edit: just spent the last half hour of so looking at the V8rx7 site. Tons of good info and a few HybridZ members, too!

What if you got a piece of glass and some wet and dry paper? That'd improve consistency and still be really cheap.

I have to go with Ruby, but Max that thing is SWEET!!! I was guessing you'd base your model off your real car, but that is above and beyond.
Great job to all four of you. Hopefully I can play next time.

It's probably shifting so hard because of all the power you got out of your camo oil pan...
Hahaha... I forgot I told anyone about that! The zebra stripes didn't survive, but I used a paint marker and made a more 'traditional' camo pattern on it. I need to redo my valve covers soon, too...

I've driven my car a full 23.8 miles now! I finally figured out why it was getting so hot, so that's taken care of. Now I need to find out why it's shifting so hard. 2010, here I come!
-
Very cool, Max! did you get that 'oh crap, what am I doing?' feeling when you were hacking up your hood?
-
More like a brick...

Is it on the positive post of the battery? If so it goes on the out-put for the alternator.

My little brother's friend has a FMF silencer on his Mitsu' pick-up. It doesn't sound much different. Just like the other guys said, it's basically a glass pack.

I'd like a copy as well. Thanks a ton for doing this!
One thing to note, guys. Posting your email address in open forum is a good way to get spam mail. Web crawlers search for any potential email address and try to send spam to it. PM is the way to go.

is the 305 a smaller v-8? and well anyways do u like the motor? i been thinkin of goin with a 350...
smaller displacement but the same external dimensions as a 350. I haven't got to drive the car too much, but it seems to have a fair amount of bottom end torque.

Here's mine
Still working the kinks out of her.

Aw, crap. Sorry Paul... Does this mean I'm the first person you ban?

I was looking through the tool shed (yeah, I know
) and saw that BRAAP's name was different. I did a double take and sure enough, it's red. Congrats Paul!

Nah... you could use a Winchester model 37 like me. My grandpa bought it when he was 12 or 13.
