  1. How much boost? lol how much RWH we talking??? I am stopping/stoped at 550 horse.... anything beoynd that and its pointless IMO... and that point its all Epeen bragging rights with the amough of weight our cars have.... b/c then again you are all using drag cars... mine will be Auto-X when its done....

I think ~500 HP is a reasonable limit. Much more than that and you're pushing the street-ability of the car (oversimplified, I know. Don't flame me for it:flamedevi)

As far as boost goes, I don't think I'll be running more than 10lbs but who knows.

I'll side with OTM, if that's alright with him. I've got family in Georgia, afterall!

  2. I think both of you were getting at the same point in a rather round about way. The Veyron is not just a sports car and not just a race car. It's both. It's a undeniably fast car with no shortness of comfort and style. A similar idea was eluded to in the thread a week or so ago about "The new sports car"; No auto maker sees profitability in selling a striped down, race inspired car. Today everything is about the "bling" and how luxurious you can make a package. I honestly believe this is why the F-body cars were becoming unsuccessful and will never reach the same level they had 10 years ago if they are ever re-introduced.

  3. Dude, video's gone!

I was talking to some friends from across the pond (in the UK) the other day about this car. They said one of the driving forces in building it was to help boost Bugati's sales. I wonder how much it really costs to build one, they mentioned 1 million (pounds, so like 1.9 million USD) but I'm not sure...

Edit: I don't think it's fair to call the Veyron "bone stock" ;)
