  1. i am going to buy poly mounts and such from him. so the pressure plate for a Z32 will work with the RB. i may have to look at these clutches as well if they are rated that high. and what are you using for a flywheel?
  2. holy jeebus thats sick. that turbo could suck in small animals and children i not a fan of show cars but you have a very nice clean car man
  3. yeah if i can get a buddy or 2 over with a couple jacks and more jackstands i may do that since i need the front subframe out regardless i ordered my pistons and rods today. i got some stock bore cp forged pistons and eagle esp h beam rods
  4. pics to follow soon as my internet is back up i have the engine mostly out now i have to get the upper part of the exhaust unbolted its bein a bitch ordering parts (rods pistons ex) tommorrow

  6. i am glad somebody mentioned the check valve i would have blown the cap off my master cylinder
  7. well not having to set it up is the big one. most good systems i have seen have a baseline map that is specific to the car so its plug and play. alos there is software support from the company and depending on the EMS they have some "bell and whislte" features as i like to call them like i think its the power fc (may be the greddy) that you canjust plug in a target fuel ratio and the computer does the adjustments i don't have the perseverance to deal with megasquirt
  8. yeah i have seen stuff on ebay for like 1200 bucks for the one i need the more digging i do the more the greddy looks better for my current needs

  13. does anybody know where i can get a power fc pro used or otherwise i am on a budget and i want the power FC but money constraints say greddy emanage ultimate i am using it on my Z31 which is going to have a series one RB25DET in it out of an R33 GTs-T any help would be nice and apperciated
  14. well i can get the emanage ultimate from my nismo for $499 and the harness kit for $99 i am seeing the power FC for around $700 and i am not sure if it has everything i need and i think i have to spend another hundred or more on the pro set ( correct me if i am wrong) i am have not looked into the safc so i not sure on cost. the system has to be able to use and run the bigger injectors i am putting in. thats my main concern i have not looked yet to see if anybody has a used one. i have been lookin on ebay but most the people on there want 2 times the cost for it
  15. well money is a concern for me as i am budgetign to get the car running by summer 2008. i have seen the power FC pro i guess if i can find a decent price for it i will get that as i know of a couple places that are familier with it and can tune the car with the power FC even with the harness the price on the emanage from mynismo is nice
  16. well since i am new to the whole tuning thing i am going to go with the greddy emanage ultimate for now to start with just modifying thefactory tune and a little more might be in the market for a wolf EMS once i get comfortable with doing a piggy back

  19. yeah basically. some guys in the shop explained the differences today to me but really could not tell me the drawbacks or advantages of either.
  20. ok i know that there are a plethora of OE 4 piston calipers i can get from nissan and toyota does anybody know what calipers would bolt directly ( if any) to the front of a Z31 or if somebody makes brakets? been doing some digging and have not really found a whole lot of info granted i may have not dug enough but i have been looking for other stuff to so any help would be appreciated:biggrin:
  21. cool thanks guys gives me some things to comtemplate wireing is not an issue for me i am an electrical guy but i did nto knwo you could not run multiple maps on the power FC
  22. ok i am going to b making my injector purchase from RC engineering this next week. i am going with a miniumum of a 750 cc injector but i am curious as to what type people are using and what your impressions are i have the choice of peak hold type and saturated type. i was going to go with a peak hold. the other issue i have is which ECM to use. i have it down to a Greddy e-mangage ultimate and a apexi power FC i am having a hard time making the choice so if anybody has expereince with either please share your impressions and expereinces with them:biggrin:
