  1. If you're going to run those size tires I'd sugguest CUTTING the fenders, see 240Hoke's write up on "how to install ZG flairs"
  2. The twins have been peeing er potty training out side in the grass!!! One of them even wipped it out at Wal-Mart in the lawn and garden section LMAO!!!

  5. Over the top build!!! Congrats on a super car!
  6. Making a big bowl of fresh pico de giao (sp) right now Skipping church Happy fathers day
  7. Do not bend, fold, mutilate, or spindle. Used twice pretty close together, still a good read.
  8. Are those the 2 piece lense ones?
  9. No you need to go ahead and get the JTR book NOW. You'll understand why the 15 degree tilt of the bellhousing is preferred for the JTR conversion. The set up on my last car was SBC WC T-5 with stock bellhousing, Ram clutch, Hurst shifter, every thing bolted up fine. Just get a complet WC T-5 with the bellhousing, etc. it works.
  10. Forget the Richmond transmission. The most easily adaptable transmission is the WC T-5 from the 82-91 Z-28’s and Trans Ams to ID these transmissions they have a 26 count spline input shaft (search you’ll find more info) You’ll want the bell housing, drive shaft slave cylinder and associated items that come with the tranny. You can upgrade these transmissions with either Gforce gears or gears from APC (Astro Performance) A 327 vs. 350 for weight savings/weight distribution is negligible. What you do want to do is add aluminum heads, aluminum water pump and aluminum radiator for weight savings. The R-200 will hold up fine I would suggest replacing all the bushings on the car as a starting point, power with out control is dangerous. Welcome to the forum and be sure to get a copy of the JTR book and keep it next to the crapper:mrgreen:
  11. I still have this front bumber for sale if you are interested. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=143784 Please PM me for more info. David
  12. Where do you see $50K wrapped up in one of these? Link?
  13. Before I fail at this can somebody tell me if I'm putting these together correctly? These are the fronts. Does the top strut insulator need to be cut (bottom rubber?) Does the spring-collar combo just ride on the welded ring Thanks for your input David
  14. Right here at Summit Racing. If you have every thing else just source a bung from a local muffler shop. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=ATM%2D5249&N=700+115&autoview=sku
  15. I've got them on the Scarab, it's what came from the factory (Scarab) works well for me. The ball is teflon not aluminum and you preload it with the U shaped guage.
  16. No it's a one man show. I've got him on the right track now. I've givien him a time frame, expectations etc.
  17. With 3.5 year old twin boys running around the house, no family in the area to "drop them off at" and watch them I'm not going to learn to do body work at this point in my life. But I do agree with your statement. This has turned into somewhat of a "check book" build at this point. Sourcing out the areas that I cannot do myself.
  18. ^^^Yeah but I feel the need for more speed!!! Plus I've got tons of parts that need to be installed. I've got a set of Rota RBR sitting here in my office that have been staring at me for a few months now. Did you see what they did to your old car?http://missouriairparks.com/video/MOV00547.MPG http://missouriairparks.com/video/MOV00547.MPG
  19. All good ideas. I know he's had some "unexpected" family events that took him out of town (2 extended family members passed away one in CO and one in TX). He's not a shop, just a one man show working out of a garage. He was refered to me as being able to to excellent work, the price per hr. he is charging me is very reasonable. I'll see if some cash is a motivator for him to kick it into gear. Yeah, I know they don't call it paint jail for nothin'.
  20. The guy I've hired to do the body work on my car is dragging his azz. He's had the car for over 6 weeks no and hasn't touched the car. I know price, quality, service pick 2 as the old saying goes. I'm getting a bit discouraged at this point, I handed him a media blasted car, ready to go to body work. I met with him Saturday night and gave him $100 Lowes gift card to get materials, bolts, nuts, misc items, etc. I just want to keep moving forward on this darn thing and am getting discouraged at this point. The price he quoted me for labor was very reasonable but other "projects" keep jumping in front of my car. Any thoughts or words of encouragement would be apperciated. Thanks, David
  21. Bump, still interested in a set of these, nice work!!!
  22. I've got a set of the Zedd frame rails I'm not going to use, I'll sell them reasonable. Can get pics this weekend. Sorry no floors, used them.
