They hosted Midwest Z fest last year in Omaha with a track day at Mid America Motorplex, car show and dinner. Was an excellent time!!! You should try to attend MZF in Tulsa, OK over labor day weekend.

Yellow Jackets. Those are some mean somebeeches. They attack...wait SWARM you and sting you to oblivion. I was pressure washing the pool deck of a house we just bought and never saw the little bastards. First one I caught a glimpse of made a bee line for my upper thigh, it didn't mosey around either. It must have landed with its stinger headed toward my leg. At this time I'm beginng to take aim at them with the almighty pressure washer, not the best defensive posture but hey use what you've got. After warding off several of them it was time to make my escape, I jumped into the pool and ducked under water several times before they gave up. The whole crew got theirs later when I returned with the wasp and flying insect spray, oh and a little gas.

Buy one and test fit it. Occasionally a JTR kit pops up in the classifieds. If you don't use it, flip it. Somebody will buy it.

I know Bryans car and to put a price on it I would say HIGH. I've seen the paint, know the shops that did the structural work and it's all first class.

Get in the Zone...Auto Zone. They can order all the parts you'll need. L&R tie rod ends and ball joints. right tire rod part # ES2109R left tie rod ES2110L ball joint you'll need 2 FA1044 Normally you don't need to replace the inner ones did you bend it???

Time for a small update... Car is pretty much stripped except dash and some glass. Engine is built Wife is getting tired of seeing this. BAMF ZG flair Gnose head light covers (NIB) Oops!!! Stepped off the lift, took one step back and crap!

I saw a set of VC similar to yours sell on E-bay for over $200. I spoke with Craig Sparks (master of all things Scarab IMO) and he told me that they were not original covers. I got mine from a member here on Hybridz. Truly a "find".

Scarab factory car. It has Bow Tie block and heads, Hooker headers, Scarab radiator, louvered hood and insp lids, Recaro seats, 4 speed with Hurst shifter, 3.36 gears. FIA 4 piston calipers (front) valve covers (not on the engine but have them) Original BBS wheels not on car. Documentation I have original sales brochure and other misc items from Scarab.

Good Lord obracing72 how about picking up the phone book, looking up the number to DMV (DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES) or what ever it is called in your state (if you can figure out where you live PA/OH) and calling them to find the requirements to apply for classic tags. While you have the phone book open call a few insurance companies and request quotes from them, they'll be happy to talk to you. Sorry if I sound like a jerk but you asking these types of questions is way out there. In Arkansas the tags are $30ish and never need to be renewed.

Where do you work to get free oil? Thought I was the only one scoring free oil. I run Castrol 10-30 High Mileage in the Scarab and Syntec in my G35.
