  1. I run that pump on my El Camino and it works great no problems for several years now. I have it on a kea on relay with a 15Amp fuze 12Ga wires never get hot
  2. Yes I’m using all Z32 stuff the except for the brakes those came off an N/A car. I just had to cut the tab off the wheel bearing to fit the N/A brakes. Do you know of an upgrade to the stub axles? I do drag the car but really looking to get into autocross so trying (as much as it makes sense) to shy away from the 9'' especially since I just spent 5k in all the parts for the rear end. and im shooting for 750HP so i can finnally beat my bud's turbo F Body mustang with my N/A datsun or maybie im compensating for something who knows but that kinda power shure sounds fun to me
  3. Anyone know? Trying to guess at what im going to need to upgrade next.
  4. I bought the kit form JTR as well except I TIG welded the 2 pieces together and had them hard anodized for looks constant passes/abuse form my 383 and no problems yet as for the Trans mount I added this braise to the Trans tunnel
  5. Sounds fairly similar to what I did with mine there is hardly any drone with my set up but I do have the cut outs open more than I’d like to admit but is sounds great with them closed, except for the fact that on the dyno it loses 30HP with them closed.
  6. You could get one of those Mr. Gasket exhaust PCV systems I have installed several an they work quite well, also you can get some ½’’ hose and re locate your filter to where the fumes don’t have a straight shot into the cabin.
  7. The only way I’m aware of to make 300zx brakes fit is a kit, I believe from Modern Motorsports, that gives you a bolt on adapter for the caliper and re-drilled rotor to fit the 4 lug. Or the whole set up from Techno Toy Tuning the pros of the kit from T3 is that it allows numerous diffs to be installed and swaps to a 300ZX unit bearing with CV joints it your willing to spend the extra coin this is the way to go.
  8. I recently installed a R230 diff from a Z32 TT into my 280Z, just wondering if anyone had been able to break one yet? Or does anyone know how strong they are? Looking to jump up from my 440HP 383 to a 421 SB2 motor with 750hp wondering if the diff, axles, wheel bearings can handle the abuse. I’m guessing axles will be the first to go, just looking for how much power anyone has gotten through the Techno Toy Tuning setup.
  9. I’ve had this happen to me before when I was rebuilding the motor for my pickup, I just used a razor blade and cut the gasket.
  10. As to the original poster I have no idea if your even remotely still interested but I will tell you this, with the right bargaining skills you can do one yourself for around 1k not sure if you still have the car but I would recommend picking one up that is already done you will get off super cheap as no one will recoup the cost of building one of these beasts. but as I see we are all flaunting here all share with yall what I have in mine and I would like to add a shout out to the USAF for every one of my pay checks goes into this dam addiction. Non running complete 280Z $3k Steering wheel, hub, Auto meter gauges, dash cap, Corbeau seats, and a fuel pump to get the l28 running again $4k SBC 383 free with labor but spent about 3k at machine shop an on better parts (carb intake cam oil pan ect) Kesler engineering T-56 with clutch alum flywheel bell housing $5k 1-4 T56 strait cut gears/install $4K GC coil over/tokico inserts an powder coating all front parts $800 (used to work for GC) $300 spent on gd broken u joints form that F*&%%* R200 Techno Toy Tuning R230 install kit everything included plus 2X R230 $5k SB2 on racing junk.com $10K tear…… Modern motorsports front hubs and Cobra brake adapter kit $550 Cobra R brembo brake kit $1.2K Wheels Tires $1.5K Fluids fuel line, Ign, Mis parts, Parts bout for no dam reason, hardware, metal for fab, (all nickel and dime stuff here) $2.5-3K So total is about 40K and the worst part is in my mind I still have a ways to go…but it’s all about building to make it yours if you want a junkyard motor botched together cheap ride then you can do one cheap but if you want something truly unique then plan on spending quite a bit.
  11. for my 383 with my T-56 the cheapest thing I found to do was get block huggers with a dual 2.5'' coming into a y at the diff then going to a 3'' out the stock location with a super 40 out the back whole set up cost me 300 bucks just ask around your local exhaust shop for a quote an try to talk them down but with descent welding and pipe for a local parts store you can easily make your own
  12. wow really cool project man are you useing MM adapters? what brake setup did you go with? i think im going to go with the MM hubs an going to try an find a cheap pair of Cobra R calipers, did that booster bolt in?
  13. if you dont mind take some pics an give any helpful hints if you have alredy done the install with the T3 kit
  14. haha yeah he takes forever if he evan dose get back with you just got off the phone with T3 and there set up seems much stronger and better looking i useing the 300ZX hub seems like a better idea that going with stub axles and watching my wheel roll away if i ever would break one whole price quote was 2K guess i should start saveing now!
  15. Just bought my R230 from a Z32 planning on getting the kit from MM do I still need to clearance the sub frame with that kit? Has anyone done this so far and care to throw out any pointers?
