  5. I like all of the ideas but never really trusted heim joints on the street I came up with this, sorry for the crude paint drawing. But it allows use of stock replacement outer bushing and still retains on the car adjustability. What do yall think?
  6. haha nice "paint" job^ Make shure you get good pics of the deck surface front back of the block all get the ball rolling with a pic of the LS stlye head And the Vortec head Note the differance of the bolt pattern.
  7. You know you own a Datsun when you scroll through your "won on Ebay" list and its all, NOS Datsun.....
  8. ^^^ Hahaha i do that on ebay all the time, got me some great deals!
  9. I feel the tool shed coming on, if you search the site that question has been answered at least 15 times. But that JTR book is great.
  10. You could cut out part of the void right behind the pass seat just so the top can fit just below the fiber board use a remote bottle opener.
  11. You know you own a Datsun when people ask you about it and spell it Dotson, Datsin, Dotsun, Porsche. You know you own a Datsun when youve spent 12K on parts/tools for you car but your 7,000 miles away.
  12. Yes the 305 would get you there, but after the rebuild and parts to make it outperform what you aredy have you might as well get a better foundation to start with.
  13. sometimes, if you where backing off from a cut, you can get a couple picks in the flutes and turn it out by hand or zip tie the picks together and turn with a screwdriver either way it sucks.
  14. haha well if he is useing 96 heads should be a genII.
  15. Go coil overs 2.5 ID springs will clear almost anything and are worth the adjustability Ground Control makes a good kit for the Z. Call mark (530) 677 8600. Ask for spring/prising options tell him Ryan sent you.

  17. I have no idea what class to join and be competitive in, especially with my v8 swap and all other mods. All I know is I have the fever, and the only Rx is more cowbell.
  18. The NRG one you can get off ebay works fine looks good too.
  19. A SBC can be done for just as cheap as well, just sayen. I see your after boost tho.
  20. An I thought that guard dog would have been enough.
  21. Sometimes you just have to find out for yourself, but my suggestion is get a jack on the bell housing and since it alredy looks like you have the head off you can use your 90* hoist adapters and find a bolt that fits the block go block, washer, 90*, wacher, bolt on opposite ends of block bolt them down tight. Take out bell housing bolts lift up motor/ tranny, support bellhousing up aginst firewall. If you cant slide the motor out dropping the crossmember is 5 bolts, too easy.
  22. Is this legal for SCCA? I am not familiar with the rules at all but I need to do something as I am considerably upping the power, spring rate, tire size, but still want to race.
  23. i called around and the best prises are from corbeau im im getting them custom made so i dont really have a choise, but let me know if you find anything different. The suede fades really bad in the sun so make shure to keep them out of it as much as possible. If you cut the mounts down and modify the rails as i plan to do it should be alright for us taller guys.
