  2. I also spent alot of time thinking of spool time and pressure drop. If your still looking for a same side intercooler i got mine at frozrenboost.com And it dropped my ait by 120 deg over the j pipe at 10 psi. Im using 2 1/4'' pipe which was best suited for my stock turbo. I get 5 psi by 2200 rpm its fantastic and 14 psi by 3200. Sorry the second pic was a little blurry.
  3. Jake i say we make a die to cut them out of dead soft aluminum and call it a day. If i blow another gasket on the #6 exhaust port im going to blow a gasket in my mind.

    The chassis had 190,000 miles on it. The guy bought this car for $13,000 in 1983 and i give me all the nissan dealer paperwork to go with it.

    It had rust holes in the floor behind the seats. Also the rear bumper area. All in all a great project.

  11. well im not sure what i did to her but something is off? left a light and ran her up to 7000rpm which is my hard limit. after that every time i see more than 10psi of boost it sounds like im on the soft limiter popping out of exhaust and losing power. only under load does this happen. almost like spark cut or timing retard i guess i will not know till i hook up my laptop to see whats going on. ohh yeah almost forgot 83 280zxt l28et ported head 450 injectors megasquirt ms1 stock turbo 15lbs large fmic 2.5'' exhaust no muff or cat. i have been running this setup for over a year with no problems and flog it properly on a daily basis. guess thats her way of saying enough......

  13. im using a harbor freight oooghaa horn on my zx i like it and its loud as hell. you can have my stock 83 zxt horns if you want them.
  14. i run a optima red top give like 248.99 for it but on the bright side my zxt has never failed to start in over 2 years. the only time this battery has died was because my alt went out and i did not even know it! lights were still bright power windows rolled up as normal and i drove it day and night (using headlights) for a week before i started to notice things dimming... even my ms1 let me run till there was only like 5 volts of power but it got me home that night. got optima or nothing! what you gain in weight you will also in piece of mind.
  15. sounds good man but like said above wide band is a must and my stock 280zxt clutch crapped out about 12 lbs so get a good one to start you should be fine. aslo why the huge injectors? i make over 300hp on 450cc dsm injectors at like 70% duty cycle. it will be hard to not run rich at idle with out crazy mods on those. good luck tho...
  16. i got all my stuff through frozen boost for cheap and there same side intercooler is the kill. recommend them strongly.

  18. yeah my 83 turbo has the central locking but when i shut the door she unlocks both doors. oh well..
  19. no need for 3'' with a stock setup you will not out flow 2.5'' pipe. i run 2.5'' at 14lbs of boost making 300+ foot pounds of torque. mine is not super loud with no cat or muffler the turbo does act as one to an extent. good luck with your new car man. ps best money i ever spent on mine was the hpk255 suspension kit and poly bushings.

  21. LMFAO you used my old front struts for a idler mount! way to keep it nissan jake. those mothers are hard as kobalt were they hard to turn down? keep it coming man and you will be as fast as me......

Im running a xtd stage 3 the 4 puck one with a sprung hub. my zxt has not destroyed it yet and im running 15 psi with megasquirt and a big fmic. i use my launch control on a daily basis (3000rpm dumps) because i drive like a ****** lmao. no problems after 6 month abuse. only thing is they get grabby when disc gets hot. make sure you break it in correctly and it will be okay well it has for me anyways. good luck...
  24. man thats the truth my summit shifter is light years better feeling and having the piece of mind i can bang gears is nice because i shift hard to second and third. the throw reduction didnt hurt my feelings either although the stock throw was not bad. i toped mine off with a hurst ball and black leather boot with double red stitch i think it looks good.
