I believe my problem is the fuel pump relay as well, but where is it exactly? I just replaced my fuel pump so that cant be. I also replaced my fuel filter and plugs. I have a 260z with a L26 on carbs

good find for this area I got lucky on my buy. My 260z came from Arizona. Your 280z looks to be and very fixable shape. If you need parts or help tuning check out Tidewater Z in poquson VA ask for Todd also try Barry at east coast Z in cheasapeake for parts.

Anyone know the part number for the rubber that goes around the early model 260z bumper part of my rubber trim came off and its bothering me to death! Is it in the microfiche? and is it still available for purchase? Thanks

The ones on ebay look to be the 85-88 Maxima brackets they are flat and thicker and need to be trimmed down (machined to be used) You can order them through Nissan at $100 a piece. I tried the junkyard in my area found (1) maxima it was an 81; I believe. The brackets were there, but they were welded on. Apparently, only certain years or certain Maximas period came with bolt on brackets and not welded. If you can't find a pair I would order them from here they work with the 280zx calipers and are only $165 for a set. Funny thing is the day after i won the auction on ebay for these my father saw a 82 Maxima on the street. The owner was about to haul it off to the junk yard and the brackets weren't welded on he got them for $10. I paid over $100 for mine on ebay :/

Well these are the right maxima brackets. You can use the ones on ebay, but they require work. These bolt right on to 82-83 ZX calipers.

Well, currently my father is trying to install the rear discs using the Maxima brackets. He is having trouble with figuring out how to remove the backing plates without taking out the stub axel. I purchased the brackets to avoid removing the axels because the brackets were already cut. What I am looking for is pictures of other users set up to see how they set up there rear discs with maxima brackets and info on what to do with the Z rear drum backing/dust shield plates. Also I noticed the parking cable is routed at the bottom on the drivers side.

Man I would daily drive that thing just to make subys cry!!!

What is the VIN and what year? Seems like an early 240 with the hatch vents I wonder if its one of the first 500? I would definitly get the intercooler like calgary suggested they can be bought on ebay for under $150 then get some pipes and couplers
