  1. I think my car passes as a rat rod. No front bumper for now until I finish my $50 paint job. 7 different colors a little black on the other side as well!
  2. I need a drivers side Headlight scoop and drivers side lower valance plate Don't need the corner signal just the plate that holds the signal.
  3. Yea I would like to see as well.
  4. I'm curious about the vin number. oh wait its 6849. Still it has the early hatch vents and the 240z badge on the quarter panel. definitely a series I. Everything looks original as well. I'd scoop that up in a heart beat i dont care if the whole roof was made of bondo.
  5. What brand paint did you use? looks nice. I was contemplating going satin black for a while.
  6. I like them alot. +1 for the covers. The lights are definitely badass. I will be getting a set in the future when i can afford them of course lol.
  7. I would get some MSA cover maybe the tinted ones or the regular clear. Since you have a stronger beam I dont think the tinted covers would effect them that much. What color is your car if its gunmetal like in the thumbnail tinted covers would look awesome in my opinion.
  8. Eh, I feel where hes coming from, but you cant own a color. besides your in the midle of the country what difference would it make on top of that you have a completely different drive train. I say paint it that color even if its a little off from his its still a nice looking green.
  9. Have you tried using an angle grinder with Poly Abrasive disc, after applying coats of stripper? http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/paint-stripping.htm http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=137262&highlight=rustoleum+primer
  10. Aside from flat and glossy there is always satin. I will paint mine satin black.
  11. I'm not too sure hes on classiczcars.com shoot him an email. Only thing I know is that its a ford color.
  12. No problem, I might also suggest that if you decide on a rebuilt MC and it doesn't work out that you try a brand new one. Maybe pricey but it will save headaches. I myself have not had a good experience with the rebuilt ones. I cannot vouch for everyone but keep that in mind.
  13. This is Curtis240z's car has to be one of the sexiest blues I've seen besides Austins
  14. The paint code is located under the hood on the radiator support. Should be a small gold or silver plate that says the paint color code.
  15. Ive always liked these green cars: Zedevan: Sean240z: mally002:
  16. I agree you just dont want to pick the wrong color and regret it 1 month later. Especially after dropping $1700. Which is a bargin for a paint job but still $1700 nonetheless... I want the key lime/green apple but right now dark or hunter green with black flares is really growing on me.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb4gp4r_6wg
  17. Did you upgrade to the 79-81 15/16 master cylinder? Check the reaction disk as well? http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=103767 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=104735 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=138712&highlight=reaction+disc
  18. Same here. Just wish it was still avaliable in rustoleum. I really want the sour apple or keylime. Which looks very similar.
  19. 2003z is a good example of that green with black and zgs
  20. Yea, you and me both Phil. I believe his car was in one of the auto magazines under the name Green monster as well. Will you be going with real auto paint this time around Phil?
  21. YES!!!! you are the man! Thanks I called up Sherwin and they said that it can be done but there is no guarantee that the desired color can be produced. I want the key lime or green apple on the brochure. on their website the keylime is number 27033 for tremclad. If all else fails are there any Canadian members willing to get me a can of keylime green or sour apple? I'll pay for shipping and the product plus a tip for the effort!
  22. This definitely goin on my bed room wall. Do you guys use regular paper of photo paper?
  23. I will be taking the Rustoleum route after being screwed out of $1600. So since my paint is practically falling off and my car is now 5 different colors it is either this or spray paint or let it rust away. My question is after reviewing the past Rustoleum threads both on here and other pages where can I get my own color mixed? I read in this thread:http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=117199&highlight=custom+rustoleum+paint that Rustoleum did have over 100 custom colors, but I'm a few years too late for that. I went to homedepot and lowes today to see if i can get a color mixed and the answer was no at both places. My desired color is lime green very similar to Metallicar seen here:http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=117199&highlight=custom+rustoleum+paint&page=4 I was thinking that maybe I could mix hunter green with white and safety yellow to get my results? Would I start with 2 quarts of hunter green 1 quart of safety yellow and 1 quart of gloss white to make a gallon. I doubt I would need a gallon of hunter green and 1/2pints of yellow and white that would be too much paint and probably to dark. Really dont want to waste money on uneeded paint because of my already tight budget. If anyone has mixed custom colors let me know and chim in on the amount and sizes used.
