  1. I need the infiniti j30 oil pan, oil pick up tube, and motor mounts+ brackets. Hoping someone has these lying around from using a j30 engine in a z. email boosted70z@mail.com
  2. I'm looking for a set of fenders to fit series 1 240z in good condition. lmk.
  3. That car was for sale here is jax for a couple of years and no one wanted it. He was asking 3500 for it.
  4. the infinity M30s oil pan was front sump as well.
  5. You wouldn't have to weld the center diff on a 4WD tranny, you can use the tranny from a JDM altezza(JDM IS300), It uses the beams 3sge and is rwd, that the tranny you'd want. The biggest downside is the motor is rather heavy for a 4-banger, but it does have a lot of power potential. And you would want the second gen motor(90+), the first gen form the st165 all trac has different heads that nobody makes cams for.
  6. No manual tranny bolts up to the vh45de, however there are a few adaptor plates out there to fit it to the Z32 tranny and I think theres one for the mk3 supra tranny. All vh motors had timing chains, the earier U.S. versions (90-93) had a single chain and the later versions and JDM vh41he's had dual chain set ups. The earlier vh45 had sodium filled valves, vtc (through 95, in 96 it couldn't meet emissions and was dropped), and more aggressively tuned ECUs too. So and earlier motor will put out a bit more power than the newer motors (like BRAPPs.) Oh, and the vtc was activated below 4600 rpms, so it doesn't have that much of an affect on the top hp, but gives the older motors two hp peaks. I may had been guessing too much about weight difference, but I still can't find a verifiable figure for the vg. I still think that the vh is lighter, maybe not by much, but at the least they're about the same weight.
  7. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/7BSA/30-7055 MSA sells it, but for $349.95 you could probly build your own.
  8. look at these biatches, this was a spare downpipe for my all trac I got for cheap
  9. http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=185771 From what I understand the vg is somewhere in the mid 500lbs. The reason would be that the vg has an iron block and the vh has an aluminum block.
  10. The vh45de is around 100Lbs lighter than the vg30dett.
  11. If it hasn't been done before then theres a damn good reason not to. 3sgte would be the best bet.
  12. just got her back on the road monday, finished tuning today. Woot!
  13. I don't have perfect shots but these are z32 seats in my 70.
  14. I wonder which way the hood opens.
  15. Alright, I still can't figure it out. I had a mechanic look at and he said that everything mechanically checks out. He changed the water pump because it was leaking (Which must have been why i lost coolant). Right now its hard to get it started and even then it runs rough and won't rev. As for the magnets, they look to be ok based on marks on the pully. If it was thrown off how would I adjust it? And does anyone know anyone in jax, fl that can help?
  16. Alright, I changed the oil and put coolant in it. I also changed the spark plugs (old ones were black from it running rich). It will rev to 1k and stay there now. The fuel pressure regulator reads about 38. I'm not sure how to check the timing with the coil packs if someone could help out there. I put the uv dye in and theres some small leaks around the bottom of the radiator (at the drain plug and somewhere on the lower hose) but they aren't leaking much at all. Oh, i bought this car from cjarloz back in june so you guys from orlando may have seen it before.
  17. I have a 70 240z w/ an 83 l28et running an SDS standalone. It was running fine one night when I was driving home from work doing 45 when I tried to speed up and had no power. I pulled over and it idealed low, I gave it full throttle and nothing for about 30 sec. and then started reving slowly. I could hear boost building up but no power. I was close to home so I tried to limp it back. Then it started to overheat. I popped the hood again and it was steaming and the radiator was wistling like a tea kettle. I thought it was the head gasket so I ran a compression check, and it all turned out good. Has anyone had anything like this? Is something other than the head gasket rob power and loose coolant or do I have 2 separate problems? Thanks.
  18. The M30 was basically a rebodied R31 skyline with a na z31 motor in it. The stock vg30e is the same as the z31 so search for a z31 with such a swap and it should be similiar. The thing that most f31 owners go though is finding suspension parts, so most haven't gotten around to doing swaps yet. http://www.f31club.com/
