I have shaved and smoothed several manifolds, 2 n42's. They are pretty simple to shave. You can grind down the linkage towers, almost all the bosses. I believe there are only a few that will actually go through the manifold. The 2 at the rear, one on the bottom, and one in the center between the runners. There might be a few more, I'd check. As for the relief valve, Id consider a BOV so you dont need to drill a hole in the manifold.

I guess it was kind of vague, It was late. Maybe just imagine two identical wheels with the same design. Just one had been stretched the extra inch. (1/2 inch longer spokes) Same with the tire, both tires are made of the same compound, just one has a larger ID.

Is the moment greater for a 17 inch rim or a 16 inch rim with equal overall tire height, width?

Actually I got that from Daves website archive (member here). Thanks for the link, that really did help, wish I had it earlier... Have you done this swap? Ive got my pads and everything together and Im not sure if I have it together right. The outside brake pad has 3 bumps on the metal side. One in the middle, one on the left, and one on the right with the brake squealer tab. For the outside two the claw of the caliper line up right over the top of these. Is this correct? Went ahead and mounted them to see if they fit and it drags alot. Is this normal or should I check for something?

So from what Ive read you alternate the calipers? Left on right side, right on left side?

Got a great suprise in the mail.... I was accepted to Gonzaga University for mechanical engineering!!! :) I had been accepted to Eastern Washington University but I really didnt want to go there since they only offer the engineering technology degree, and I wanted to get the real deal. Gonzaga is a top rated school for engineering and about 15-20 minutes away. The fun doesnt stop there! They offered me an academic excellence scholarship for $40,000 over 4 years!!!!!!!!!!!! I was doubting being able to attend since its a private institution and is quite expensive but this really puts me in range of going. I feel very blessed to recieve it, and still dont realize how much $40,000 is! (or how I got it, I only have a 3.53) Ill be starting next fall as a freshman even though I have college credit. It will definitley be a challenge.. I have also decided I will need to become a basketball fan since there is a good Bulldogs fan base in Spokane and I will be able to get tickets easily.

Anyone used them? I talked to the manager at Les Schwabs today (friend of ours since we do so much business there) and he reccommended the maxxis. 1fastZ preferred the early n42 blocks since the cylinders are siamesed. Might do some research on this.
