  1. Anyone made any actual money? Right now Im at 10 cents. Woo hoo...
  2. 38mm = 1.496 inches. Does MM sell 1.5 inch as 40mm? What is the actual thickness of the spacer?
  3. http://steveo1.shutterfly.com/ This is the guy that I purchased my 78 from 6 years ago, family friend. Not a Z but still a sweet hybrid. 72 pinto with a 302 out of a mustang I believe. The motor was built strong but paired with a low stall and a restrictive header its not running at its full potential. His cousin will be modifiying some mustang headers and putting in a T5. Really should wake the thing up... Being that the car ran 14.7's before I wasnt to worried about getting my 78 to keep up, but now with new wheels, intake, headers, and tranny he should be in the 13's... Ill have to work a bit harder. Enjoy.
  4. I dont find it wise to spend 5 digit amounts on a car youve never seen. 100% + feedback or not. Just isnt smart.
  5. So you have 38mm spacers correct? Sounds like wed have a very similar setup. Thanks for the link. Ill do some more research, and look at how your wheels fit.
  6. Yeah, I meant the carpet pieces that go from the front seats to the firewall. Those woldnt work, like you said theyd need to be turned inside out. Yes they have a rubber/plastic panel sewn in to reduce wear.
  7. The kit I got from upgrade motoring would probably work fine for everything except the pieces under the front seats. You might try calling them and asking if you can order everything but those and maybe get the front pieces sewn backwards.
  8. Hey Ill be hopefully getting a set of the wheels here. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/WWC18/25-1184 But from bajaracer! for alot cheaper. I just got off the phone with MSA and they include a 35mm adaptor for all 4 corners that goes from 4x114.3 to 4x100 even though the wheels have both lug patterns. They also reccomend using a 215/45/17 in back with a 215/40/17 in front. They say these will not rub with the above specs and given your car is not lowered more than an inch. My question is should I go ahead buy the wheels get the above tire sizes and then use washers to find out what spacer I need? (running the suspension up and down to check for clearance) Or just buy 35mm adaptors and the wheels and call it good. Id really like the wheel as far out as possible, and my car is likely going to be more than an inch lower so Im kind of stuck on what to do... I dont want to rub. My car right now has tokico lowering springs, fender lips arent rolled and I dont have coilovers. Any reccomendations on what to do? Also If I do go with a 35mm spacer, where can I get them? Ive been looking for the last few days seems like its not a common size. Just 38mm, 30mm, 50mm, etc. not 35mm. Thanks
  9. Chiltons is helpful, you can usually get it locally. If it comes to it they have a "how to rebuild your L series" book. That one and "how to modify your L series" are in the mail for me right now....
  10. Whats the offset on your wheels trevor? What size spacer are you using?
  11. Well I was trying to find wheels for both flares and no flares. Ive ruled out flares now so I wont be looking for this size wheels. Baja and I are working out a set of 17x7's now.
  12. I think it might be a foxbody. Thats what gave it away. :) I sure wouldnt ride in that.
  13. I just played it on my laptop at school for 4 or 5 guys. Great video. Also this is probably going to the shed soon since this video has been posted mulitple times.
  14. Yeah hagerty for my car will be like $2xx for a year but I have to drive with a parent and not drive often. Im not sure if its worth it...
  15. Lookin good! Although I cant say how the parts will work. Hopefully theyll help!
  16. Yeah, to have all that done by a shop would be outrageously expensive!! But good luck.
  17. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-datsun-1972-datsun-510_W0QQitemZ110316785687QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item110316785687&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A543%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Pretty awesome looking car.
  18. I wont be running a 7 inch rim if I go with flares. Im considering wheels Id use without flares and wheels I would with flares. These being the wheels Id use without flares, I dont know why I mentioned flares in the first post.
  19. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-Sportmax-wheel-006-gun-metal-rims-Nissan-Kia-Saturn_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2em20Q2el1116QQitemZ270172606892QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Heres the current ad on ebay. They are +40mm offset, wonder what size spacer comes with the ones MSA sells, Im gonna call MSA tomorrow and see.
  20. I think the n42 intake has the largest dimples, most of the other intakes are hardly noticeable... Just a little fact...
  21. Wow thats a good picture for this thread! Yeah like you said, you can do worse but that picture really shows how it needs side skirts! When you look along the body you mind thinks, modern........ 70's...... modern.
