Ever think of asking him.... Its a subtle Z front end with MSA's front airdam/bumper blended in. He also filled the gap between the headlight bucket/fender.

Yeah I was going to mention that. Its probably not just a matter of it being easier to not replace it. The glass is pretty brittle, dont want to buy a new glass..

Well if your weatherstripping is old it will crack when you try to pull it out, then its not of any use.... Id reccomend just getting a new weatherstrip for the hatch. As for the lock, remove the small panel underneath the hatch lid, (pop it off, dont be afraid) then from the inside pop off the small clip wedged inbetween the back of the lock and the sheetmetal. Then you can just pull it off. Good luck, stick with it!

Sad thing is that you will probably just have to go into calc 1. Most new students with hs calc go into calc 2 or 3 fail and go back to 1 or even precalc. Luckily hs wasnt able to jumble up all my math, im taking it (and my other hs requirements) at the community college through running start.

Bracing looks good, I did the same thing for my urethane airdam but I bolted it to the original spash pan holes. The type 3 sure looks easy to add on a front "splash pan thing". It has a nice big lip. The urethane airdams have hardly anything to screw in to, same for the top edge.

Try looking in the western/northwest area of Texas. Isnt the climate a little warmer and drier. Might find some cars with less rust.

Not worth $500!!!!! Honestly. Then consider the cost to drive there and back. Ask about rust in the rockers, batter tray area, floor pans, under the rear hatch, behind the rear wheels. Do they run? Even have engines? If it has an engine that is in as good of condition as the rest of the car, Id offer him $250... generosity.

This thread has been bothering me... for some reason Id like to say there is a difference, but cant find anything yet.

Ive been driving for about 2.5 years now including when I got my permit, 15.5 yrs. Only been pulled over twice, once in my dads Saturn Vue, 70 in a 60, parents were asleep in the car, he let me off with a warning saying I wouldnt intentionally speed with my parents in the car. Second time, in my RAV4, I really thought the speed limit was 45, turned out it was 35. Got a warning since I didnt live in the town. So I live in WA, and have a warning in both WY and ID... WA is coming soon.. But I do think Im luckier then I am law abiding, need to work on it, I cant afford a ticket. Sad thing is I havent starting driving the Z yet. I wonder how long it will take to get a ticket.

All the LX's Ive seen are the 5.0. But Im pretty sure they're not the H.O. Check wikipedia.

Not all were H.O. I know the GT has the HO, and I think the LX doesnt, though its still a 5.0.

Just was wondering about what power levels youd need in a 280z to get into the14s. I know your ratios and car weight play a large role but maybe you can mention your setup and what it took to get into the14's or for what its worth whatever your best time is. Thanks
