  1. I bought a set of turnbuckles from home depot for my supports. Just need to get a piece of reverse threaded rod and Im good to go. Search air dam lip for pics.
  2. deleted. This one REALLY doesn't need a political angle.
  3. Guys go to bed. Geez, lifes not that bad.
  4. ^ Yeah noticed that pretty quick...
  5. But isnt the outside moving the opposite way as the crank? So wouldnt it balance it to a point. Also, this is the "most fuel efficient engine designed!!!" Now they have to do the hard part, build it and make it work.
  6. Sorry to hear that. But thats why you torque down your lug nuts often.
  7. Over the 5-10 Ive really noticed a drop in parts availability. Although in some areas it has expanded, overall I think it is shrinking, or "crumbling".
  8. MSA used to sell the euro bumpers for $300. That was like 2 years ago, now they dont sell them. Looks to be about the same thing. So early z support isnt growing its just not crumbling as fast now...
  9. Did you Xnke? Ive got the super duper rare, ultra high performance stock turbo p90 head youll need and am selling it. Pm me.
  10. It has returRrRrRrRrnnnneddd!!!!!!! Better donate again...
  11. So youd be building a similar car as the concept?
  12. Alright, I really dont think I can get it in any further so shaving it down is the only option. Ill do it slowly so I dont take off to much. Metal on metal isnt good.
  13. Now that would change things... Should have mentioned that.
  14. Cant you calculate the thickness by finding the psi of one of the cylinders and then using the chamber cc, piston dish cc (in your case 0), and then bore/stroke?
  15. Honestly no... Fging is quite a bit of work, and I believe quite a few body parts are made in fg. I sent Zya a set of front valance corners a while back and he used them for molds, I think he was doing a set of fenders too.
  16. Yeah I went ahead and bought the 15" and larger ones since Ill be buying them in the near future.. hopefully. Also today I atleast bolted the rear shocks into the shock towers, and prepped the spindle pins so they go in and out smoothly. Tried to get the spindle pins in but couldnt fit the base of the spindle into the control arm. Ill have to shave down the bushings to give it more wiggle room if they are binding.. still have to get it where the holes line up. This is taking alot longer than I thought... like everything.
  17. Well I got my car when I was 11 and have spent like $8000 over the last 5-6 years. I havent had a steady job and just have been selling parts, working for my grandparents, and doing odd jobs for any and everyone. Overall If your careful with your money you can do alot, doing body work yourself really helps. But going for a swap of one of the motors you listed gets pretty spendy even if your a skilled welder/fabricator. Also if you go through the suspension and brakes when you get it the parts add up.. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=138753 I still havent gotten new pads which will be like ~$100.
  18. Because of different intake manifolds and injectors Im guessing. I just know I had an n47 intake with the 2 piece ones and a turbo intake with the 1 piece ones.
