Anybody using a MSnS system on a 04 Cobra motor? Supercharger is ditched for a turbo setup. I have a spare MSnS system laying around and thought I would ask. Did a search with no luck. Thank You.

these wires are werid! they are 8mm, BUT they say 2.5mm. Magnecor lables 2.5mm for some type of lining? that they put in these KV85 wires. So a note to all who buys these wires, 8mm KV85's say 2.5mm on them. scared the hell out of me, because i want this car running!

I just bought some Magnecor KV85 competition wires for my MSnS L28et. everybody said they are the best and run perfect for a MSnS type system. well they came today but they say there 2.5mm..... they are labled for a Z-car and are the model wires. i did a search and nobody ever takes about what size wire it is when dealing with KV85's. i always ran NGK 8mm, so im confused if these 2.5mm's will be fine or not.

that wont flow as much as the HY35w i dont think. plus it has the divided flange.

ok im alittle messed up right now.... hehe dont ask BUT i looked on mine and the only numbers i see on it that start with 35 are in a prinnted label, on the wastegate. 3599891 and HE3510x (might be something after that x, i dunno ) theres some markings on the metal housings but they start with 40.

Good point. only one ive ever seen like the more forward style manifold was on a Asian spec 280zx turbo. maybe they were different then the euro ones.

those are coils but i dont see any arms? do you mean the metal mounts for the coils?

its nice to see something new come out though..

with the right V8 swap you save weight and the car handles better.... but us L6 guys dont like to remember that

I promise you this setup right here will scare you and would leave you happy for awhile. L28ET (you can even use a L28E 75-78 N/A engine, with a P90 head from the later turbo 280ZX's) Stock head. Port the stock exhaust manifold. MSnS ecu. T04E 60-1 turbo. Supra 440cc injectors Pallnet Fuel rail. Walbro 255lph fuel pump. Adjustable fuel pressure regulator. MSD 6AL. Electric fan. 60mm t-body. Boost controller. you can do this setup for under 3K EASY and it can be reliable.

that setup has ALOT more in it! ALOT MORE! just to show ya.. L28ET. JE Forged Pistons. 240Z Rods. ballanced and blueprinted. Custom Intake manifold. Custom exhaust manifold. T04S machined to fit a T66 wheel, 81a/r turbo. FMIC. 60lb injectors. 65mm t-body. Some head work with a 490 cam. Microtech LT10 ECU at 18psi was 420rwhp, still have alot of tuning left to do. And your setup is better then mine! nice numbers guys!

thanks! ill get a spare back up set. as of right now the Taylor wires are causing BIG problems with the MSnS system. I just want to see how much faster this Z is with the HY35w turbo.

with the MSD ones you want the Heli-coil ones right for our L28ET's? i cant remember which one we have to run.

thanks! but im really looking for a set of Magnecor KV85's. from all the searching ive done it seems like these are the best for a turbo'ed L28ET Z. NGK-R's i had before were good but im looking to try something new. those Taylor wires just wont work with the Megasquirt at all.

Ive been looking for Magnecor KV85's but i can't find a Z or a Universal kit at all. Only place I did was Alamo Motorsports but they dont take my credit card. just my luck right. I HATE Taylor wires and thats all MSA offers. any help? Its a L28ET with MSnS, Big turbo and Big Boost. thanks.

i ran something just like that on my Z along time ago. worked fine with no problems. came on like a stock T3 from what i remember but lasted longer.

When everything is set in stone ill devulge some of the details. I just dont want to say something and it not come true, hope you understand. the car was a former member's Z that i bought and now im changing some.
