Im looking at converting my 240z or getting a later 280zxt and doing a full on tube frame for the front end, maybe the rear too. what i intend to do is get a jdm steering rack off of maybe a suburu and just move the coloum over to the other side of the car, along w/ the peddels and everything else. as for the fire wall, i plan on just cutting a new hole for the coloum and just adding some tubed supports for it. is there anything i missed? Oh, and a custom dash.

  2. I already searched on here and on google. all i can get is that people have done it, but is there anything i need to know to put a suburu rack in my s30? My rack is worn and has quiet a bit of play in it and i will need one soon. what racks will fit? what mods are needed to make it fit? thx in advance

  3. I am going to be getting a turbo in a trade this week(summit racing seats for a turbo). I plan on building a turboTom style setup. im going to use the flange from a vg30 exhaust mani for the turbo flange. I was wondering if someone could help me by telling me an idea of what size of pipe to use for the intake/exhaust runners, the main intake tube. i plan on making the exhaust like the intake w/ a WasteGate on the end of it. what size pipe should i use for this? thanks in advance. i will take lots of pics when i get started.

  4. I know that a open diff will spin both. but it was to my understanding that open diffs will only spin 1 tire in a burnout. all my friends w/ trucks, and a friend with a old mustant w/ IRS spin 1.

  5. I know that the 240 doesnt come with lsd from the factory, it doesnt have cv's or a finned cover on the diff. but when i spun my tires, both spun. much like positrack. whats the deal? is there a way to tell what kind of diff. is in the car w/o opening it? is this normal?

  6. Mario, the timming is on (according to chilton) and its not lean.

    i tried pulling the #1 plugwire and no flame. idk how. and idk how to switch that w/o unhooking the wire

  7. The pipe wasnt hot enought. when i hit the switch and dumped the throttle, it sounds like a backfire w/ a whooshing sound over it when it shoots the flame. it has NEVER backfired out the tailpipe since ive had the car. just through the intake. what would cause that btw?

The exhaust hangers are welded in! wen its on, i get some static thru my radio, solution: turn off radio. i get enuff raw fuel. i had my friend verify today wen i almost torched his civic bumper after school. lol. wen it lights up, it goes bang and shoots a flame. almost sounds like a backfire
