My set came from Venus in Sacramento CA. All RB25 motors should come with the RWD tranny. Only the RB26 had the AWD tranny if I recall correctly. One thing to look out for is the RB20 Tranny. Some places will sell the RB25 with a RB20 tranny and not tell you. Be sure to check the tranny before hand if possible to make sure you're getting a RB25 tranny and not the weaker RB20 one. Just a heads up Another thing is compression check. If possible, do the compression check yourself. You know how it is, they add ATF and then do the compression test which actually ends up higher than OEM specs. They hope no one notices and some don't know any better.

TheloveofJDM Some of you may remember he was selling some things on here..I'm the one that bought the silver doors but never got them. Other members bought items from him as well but I don't know if they got their stuff or not. Unfortunately, I don't know how to go about it in order for me to get my money back. I figured that maybe someone on here been through the same thing I have and can give me some advice on going about it as I don't know how. As for proof regarding this problem....Here it is I also have the full conversation that went on as well... I don't have a lot of money, If I was rich, I wouldn't care about the $473.80 but to me that's a lot of my hard earned money. I don't have deep pockets to talk to lawyers as it will cost more than what I'm trying to get back. I haven't accused the admins of anything. I'm just asking for help on how to go about this matter. I understand that this forum is not a legal forum for advice. But we've all bought and sold things on here. Some of us may have some helpful information on how to go about this matter in order to help me with my problem and I'm thankful for the help.

Well, let me start off by saying " I need help." I need to take someone to court due to something that I bought but never received. Unfortunately, the person does not live in the same state as me and I'm not sure how to go about it in order to get my money back. It's been almost a year since this whole ordeal and I didn't know how to go about it to get my money back and I've been trying to contact the person who sold me the item. He has stopped responding to me and I believe it's time to get what I deserve...My money or the prodcut. If you have any information on how I can go about getting my money back or the product that I never received, please let me know either through post or PM me. On a side note, this person is a member here at HybridZ as well. I have tried contacting the admin for additional information on how I can go about this but didn't get any replies or help. Although this amount may seem little to others, it's a good dent in my wallet not to mention a lot of hard work. Help me in recovering my money so I can spend it on my Z like it originally was for. The problem was with the fan and not the thermostat. After researching, I found out the fan that is currently on my car has a max flow of 1400CFM...I'll be switching to a FFD Electric Fan...It flows 3000CFM which is a big improvement over the fan I currently have and should solve the problem. I fixed my stalling BOV problem with a tune using the Apexi SAFC. For the breather, I have a mini filter on one end and the other ends actually lead to the turbo. I believe this is what you are referring to.

Actually 10K sounds about right (IMHO)...I'm also assuming that they will get the motor to run how it should and not cut any corners as well. When they're done, everything should run correctly with NO problems. There's a well known shop here (ZCar Garage) 10K is about the cost of a RB25 Swap.

First, you will need to search. It's all here from mounts to wiring, from stock to full blown. You do not need to seam weld the chassis and roll bars are not necessary. Although it never hurts to add these. I had a shop do all my work but you can buy the mounts (Rick Wong mounts, McKinney, custom, etc). For cars like ours, everything is nearly custom.

The one on the orange Z is JDM Fender Mirrors (OEM)..Not cheap to purchase at all but it is OEM. I spent close to 400 for mine almost a couple of years back

Honestly, 2 fans may be overkill. But I figure if I'm going to get another fan anyways, might as well put the old one to good use . I see you also got a RB25..What's your set up like (cooling wise)? Maybe I can get some ideas on how I should set mine up

I think the clutch is a OEM type of clutch, not sure though. The radiator is a PRC Dual Pass Aluminum radiator (made for the chevy V8 if I remember correctly) Rich over at Daft Innovation didn't really specify what clutch he put on there. As for the fan, I've been doing some thinking lately...I'm thinking of removing the old fan and putting it in between the radiator and intercooler as there seems to be enough room and turn it into a pusher fan. I'll then put a Flex-A-Lite (FAL) 16" puller fan on the back side of the radiator. This way my old fan will become a pusher and sit between the radiator and intercooler. On engine side the new 16" fan will become a puller. I'm still trying to think this threw before I bite the bullet. I've even thought about a dual fan like the one you listed as well. I honestly believe that the current fan on there just doesn't cut it by itself.

Got my car back from the shop...It's running great but it is running hot when sitting at a stop light. I might need to upgrade the fans and see if it fixes the problem. Funny thing is the Z got de-tuned because the clutch couldn't handle it. Right now it's set up to run at 9PSI making 230WHP and 201 lbs. of torque.

I run a Nismo filter, the same ones that came with the 350Z Nismo Intake System. Never had it collapsed on me..I'm almost 100% positive that it's also made by K&N. Apex filters are also really good as well. I would avoid HKS filter as other people have stated. I'm really curious as to why your filter collapsed, I'm running the same motor and almost the same filter. My filter is set-up differently though, it's still in the engine bay behind the radiator

Welcome to HybridZ. You'll be able to find a lot of information regarding these cars here. To save you from getting bashed on, highly suggest you use the search function before posting up any questions. A lot of them have been answered thousands of time and some people get really mad when they see it again. For your coilover choice, I would rather go with S13 coils than a DC2. Just my opinion though. =Great find and I hope you enjoy the Z

Headlight relay for 260-280?

I run an upgraded harness made by Dave. I got a 280Z. He has post available for the harness on ClassicZCar and I think on here as well. They cost a bit but are great and totally worth it you may need to supply him with the plugs though. I had both the Black Dragon one and Daves. Dave's is of higher quality in my opinion and is a direct plug and play. -

Car is back in the shop for tuning so no video for now. So far it's making 230WHP and 260lbs of Torque on a Mustang Dynamometer AWD-500. It keeps blowing coils at 6,000 RPM. Not bad considering when I first came it the car only made 160WHP. The tuner popped the ECU open only to find that it was messed with...So now I'm looking for another ECU so I can get the car tuned properly and out of the shop. I hear that on a Dyno Jet the numbers are different than a Mustang Dyno. A guy with a stock Mistsubishi Evolution dynoed in at 185WHP. on the same exact dyno I'm using. So I'm really curious as how well my car will dyno in on a Dyno Jet. Once the car is finished with it's tuning, hopefully I'll have some time and to get it dynoed on a Dyno Jet to see the difference. Anyone know where I can find a ECU for my Series 2 RB25DET? It'a a pain in the butt to find @cockerstar, Found out the problem with the smoke...It's a decel problem. Only happens on decel. It's not blue smoke, it's gray. Maybe my blue car reflected some blue into the smoke from the sunlight or I was high off the fumes my car was giving off that caused me to see a slight blue lol. Was told because of the BOV the air is not metered and forces the car into a rich condition. It's getting addressed during the tune as well. As for the clutch, it never slips it only grinds sometimes at accel. If I play with the clutch, I can get it to never happen. Still looking into this.

Thanks, I now have some new problems I chatter in first gear as I'm taking off but if I play with the clutch a bit, I can get it to not chatter. It also blows smoke sometimes now as well. When I'm cruising at low rpm in 3rd gear and when I shift into neutral sometimes too...Any thoughts on what could be causing this? I might have to take it back to the shop this weekend to get it looked at I just got it back too...

Well, Just thought I post a picture of my Z. I finally got my car back and here is what it looks like all finished up. Now I need to get all my gauges working before I can start pushing my car the way I want to. I need a camera now so I can take more pictures and maybe a video too for everyone who wants to see it...Damn I hate being broke lol

At twice what I paid for my PRC Radiator, I wouldn't pay for the McKinney Motorsports one. It looks like the AFCO radiator to me just marked up in price. Not exactly sure which brand it is though because it's not listed.

The only reason I can think why a shop would weld instead of having a kit is because it's a lot easier to weld then do all that R&D to make a kit....Like everyone stated, most likely it's the shop's first time doing this swap and they don't know that kits are available. Being in the Phillipines, I'm assuming not many RBs or Zs over there. Guiding the shop over here would help it greatly lots of info here....LOTS OF INFO

If you take your valve cover to a quality paint shop, they can mix paint and match the color for you. Unfortunately, I don't know the paint code for the valve covers...Just curious, why are you planning on painting the valve cover the stock color and not a custom or different color?

+1 On the PRC Radiator I'm also running the PRC Radiator in my RB25. If you look at the picture by RS Speed, you can see the oil cooler fittings on the driver side which is an option they offer...I should of got that same option with the build in oil cooler but at the time I didn't know they offered it. Dual Pass aluminun radiator will work great for the RBs. I hear you can get away with a mod stock radiator but I didn't want to risk it. I like the cooling plate that RS Speed made...Very Nice...If that cooling plate extended to the back side of the radiator and bolted to it I would be really interested and tempted in asking him to sell me one hahaha.
