I drove my s130 120 miles per day until I smashed it into a kia. Now I'm borrowing and stealing rides until I get the l28e into my '72. Then, I'll drive it 120 miles per day.
I just bought a pair of '72s, one is Dec. of '71, the other Jan. of '72. I purchased both for $600, I don't even have them home yet but I had to tell you guys. I will post pics soon.
Nothing special, just a wrecked 1983 black, t-top, non turbo with "cold air intake" 60mm tb, and a muffler shop special 2.5" cat back with a leaky head gasket. Oh and about 100lbs taken out of her... that helps.
There are some of us who would buy no matter what the cost. However, I am not one of them. But I would be interested if the price and weight savings were right.
Just to let you guys know, I am working on an ITB setup using stock mid 90's chrysler V6 holley throttle bodies. You should check 'em out the next time you are at the yard.
Also try Eagle in Auburn, Ga. I don't have there # but they built my friends 2JZ and when they finished they told him it was safe to 9,500 rpm on boost and spray. He also just dyno'd 4 digits at the rear wheels, yes that's 1000+ rwhp.
