  4. Lol yeah I bet you'd know exactly how to dispose of them...
  5. Yeah the spokes look close to a Panasport, but the lip design looks closer to a Watanabe.. I just wasn't sure if it was a common brand or if there were a lot of companies that produced these copies. The width is definitely a bonus! Should be able to handle the Rb 25 a bit better than the chevoits we have on there now
  6. Hey guys, My brother and I picked up these rims a couple weeks ago with the intent of cleaning them up and putting them on our 240 sometime. I've been looking all over trying to figure out who made them though, and so far haven't had any luck. They're 15x10.5 in the rear and 15x9 in the front I believe. So far I know they're Japanese, most likely knockoffs of the watanabes since they aren't stamped with either the three birds or ssr anywhere. The only markings are an H with a circle around it on the back, and the Japanese ministry of transport stamp on the front of the rims. Any help is appreciated! This last pic is what I believe is the Japanese version of a DOT stamp Cheers, Chris and Rob

  13. Sounds good, PM me your address etc. and I can grab it next weekend when I get home if you still need one by then. Shipping would be 5-10 bucks tops.
  14. Sure, I have one from a 75 with low miles you can have if you like. If you dont mind shipping from Canada I can send you the whole dizzy. PM me if youre interested! Cheers Rob
  15. From what I've heard Tiger Japanese has a pretty good rep, a couple guys I know got their motors there and have had good luck with them. My brother and I got our Rb25 from another place... TotalJDM which I would recommend, they replaced a couple sensors and an injector which was damaged in shipping with no hassle at all. Theyre also located in Toronto, same as Tiger Japanese Cheers Rob
  16. Hey Stony, You might be interested in something like Nistune or running a chipped / Reflashed ECU. This is the route I am going, if you have a competent tuner in your area thats the big thing. With most of the chipped systems you get pretty much full control over your engine, some are tunable on the fly and some need to be tuned and reflashed. Any how I think if its for a street car, this is the way to go without spending big bucks and having really good driveablity as you have all the oem drivability at idle etc... Also I think there is an option to switch out the MAF's for a MAP too. The tuner around here is running something in the ballpark for 500 hp on a fairly stock rb25det and I saw a NA-T Rb20 budget build pushing 220 hp at the wheels on stock injectors !! So definatly potential there ... If its for your race car Vipec might be worth a look, they have PnP systems and are really bad ass apparently. For 2K+ they better be though when its all said and done.... Keep us posted with what you choose ! *Edit* Just re-read your post.... sounds like a standalone would be better suited .... though I think nistune can run some additional outputs ...
  17. If you want to do an RB swap there is nothing wrong with the RB20 or 25. A couple weeks ago there was an RB20det in a s13 with minimal work on it, I think just a BOV and a couple other little things that was running the SAME power as a BMW 850i V12 ( I think thats the right model number). Both cars put down 220 rwhp. Which doesn't sound like a ton but in perspective, a BMW M3 on the same dyno put down 260 rwhp. The guy was running I believe 11 pounds of boost. I run 10 psi on my RB25det and only made 210hp on 10psi, and I have a ton of bolt ons, however I have yet to tune ! The guy's major complaint with the engine was that he has broken 3 trannies in the car, which shows the transmission's weakness, its really just a KA or SR tranny with a RB bellhousing. Any how I do not believe you should discount the RB20det it can make great power. My vote on the VG series is that they are strong engines but awful to work on. Maybe its because Im used to working on a straight six I don't know ... In the end do whatever you want, it will work out well as long as its thought through. Cheers Chris Crombie
  18. Mines a bit different, but I just welded a couple of pieces of scrap steel together, and made a slot for the cable to fit into. Its pretty simple. The easiest is to drill all the holes first and then slot the final hole which will hold the cable... That way it slips in and is more secure.
  19. Ive got a pan and pick up. 200zr rear sump, never had a drop of oil in it. Check my classified and drop me a line. Cheers Chris
  20. Just as a heads up guys, I have probably the last 200zr pan I know of in Canada, its up for sale in the classifieds, brand new. If your looking for something to prototype a commercial pan this is a immaculate example, if I wasn't in school this was going to be my plan. Cheers Chris Crombie
  21. I used 3inch all the way back, single pipe w/resonator and muffler... it fits fine ... You might scrape the odd time I rarely do. I know there are a couple guys who are running 3.5 on there l28ets ... so there is room for sure Cheers Chris
  22. Hi all, Im looking for a set of adjustable rear control arms for an S30. I am also looking for springs and struts or coilovers to tighten up the suspension. Shoot me your offers, I can do pay pal or money order whichever is more convenient. Cheers Chris
  23. Yeah I feel your pain, Those hoses are a pain to get to and there is no room at all under there to work.... Are you running the stock or aftermarket intake ?
  24. Hey thanks for the offer but I did manage to find one. good luck with the sale!
  25. Buhahahha, when you said "broke" you meant BROKE! Great time slip man, sorry about the half shafts though. Those pics sure are impressive ! What tires are you running in the rear end? Was that with a LSD ? Props man !
