  1. Hi, I'm about to fit my O2 sensor, and I'm not sure how far the end of the sensor should be in the exhaust, should just the tip (with the holes) or the base with the tip be in the exhaust, see picture if i'm not explaining myself. NIgel
  2. Hi, I been reading up about MegaSquirt and all it different versions, hardware and software and now I confused.. what I have at the moment is a stock L24 running a stock ecu, stock injectors, stock fuel pump etc... what I want to do is run Megasquirt to control fuel to start with then spark (edis) after I get the fuel side running, What I was thinking is running V3 board, running MS II chip, because of the 12x12 table, I have not idea what firmware to run, but I would like it to handle spark later, and closed loop with a wb o2 sensor (hoping this will do some of the tuning for me), I will not be running any external hardware, like fans or NOS etc.. later down the track I will look at turboing this or a L28, but I need to start small and work up to the harder things, can anyone give me some suggestions, and what software version I should run ? thank for any help Nigel
  3. Hi, Look here, follow the 20th post, there is a doc file with these setting in it http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=99689 Nigel

  11. Fuel lines on the drivers side (Right), unless its got Air con, not much is down there to be in the way, except the paint work.
  12. Hi, Just wondering if the exhaust manifold from the RD28ETI (2.8 litre Turbo) will fit a typical L series engine head (p90,N42, etc..) Thanks Nigel
  13. Thanks for that, what's the difference between Federal and California specifications ?, is the California ECU more pollution friendly ?, i.e., less power Nigel
  14. Hi, can some one please confirm if this part number "A18-606 048 4314" is for a 1983 Datsun 280zx Turbo ECU Thanks Nigel
  15. I had this problem with my 6 cylinder Ford 250 Xflow engine in my XK falcon, the bolts would loosen, replace the bolts, put it back together, give it a good rev, same thing, very frustrating, in the end, the problem was the flywheel, the holes where ever so slightly out of round, replaced the fly wheel and all was good.. Nigel
  16. Could be, have never seen one from them, pricing for a new one on a Japanese site , about 16,800 yen, or US $140 or AU $160, with out freight or I have seen them for sale here in Oz for about $200, as my first post said "maybe good for the person on a tight budget", I'm sure if you had access to the equipment (lathe / drills / tap), you could make them a lot cheaper, one thing I did not say, the measurement may need to be confirmed, as they may not be 100% accurate links for the prices I used http://www.kameariengineworks.co.jp/catalogue-P12.pdf http://www.datsport.com/Heads_valves_camshafts.html Nigel
  17. This is the head, I think you are talking about Nigel
  18. I've been playing with autocad and came up with this, It's rough, but since I never had a autocad class in my life, I thought I've done a good job, there is no cam pin hole, as I have not looked at what degree it needs to be set to yet, two pictures, one is for a template, for drilling the holes on the cam sprocket and the "insert", the other is for the "insert", since I'm not a machinist, I don't know if the holes can be "cut" i.e., laser , water, etc. or need to be drilled and machined / filed. maybe some one out there wants to give it a go. Nigel
  19. No, But I though others may want to make there own since they're expensive to buy Nigel
  20. I saw these on another site, maybe good for the person on a tight "budget" like me Nigel
