Hi, What size is the original metal turbo line ?, is it the same size as brake line ? Nigel

The last picture show a spray bar with a internally oiled cam (see small holes on cam lobes). Nigel

When you revving it up 5K, what's the exhaust gases look like ?, is it black, smelling of unburnt fuel ? what condition is the air filter(s) ? I know years ago, my YZ wouldn't rev properly, and it was caused by a dirty air filter. Nigel

Hi, Have you looked into using 'Vanadium battery' as a storage and or source for your energy ? Nigel -
Hi, I have 2 early L24 cams, none have makings on the end of the cam, both are externally oiled (spray bar), the only ID on the cams are 'E30' cast on the cam about 1/3 from the front, would these be the 'A' type I need for my L24 N/A to turbo conversion ? Note: since I live in Oz, I don't have ready access to L28 turbo cams. http://forums.hybridz.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=4777&d=1200379368 Nigel

Is there any updates to this ? Nigel

I have a 240K (skyline '77), I don't know what type of tach it has, all I know it was originally connected to the negative side of the coil, wiring diagram shown in this pic. Nigel

Hi, I've got EDIS running now, but when I connect pin 2 from the EDIS unit to my tach, nothing happens, so with some more research I came across this diagram (left), its talks about "- side of the coil", is this referring to pin 10,11 and 12 on the EDIS unit ? if the answer is 'yes' does it matter if it's taken at the coils (pin 1,2 & 3), or at the EDIS unit (pin 10,11 & 12) Nigel

notching/beveling/butterfly l24 block for valve clearance
Noddle replied to rossman's topic in Nissan L6 Forum
I was doing some pre mounting for my EDIS on my parts car (MR30 Skyline), and noticed the block (L24) was notched, to support a N47 Head, so I took some happy snaps for other who may what to see how Nissan done it from the factory. Nigel -
Thank you for your help, and I'm sorry to sound like a dick.. Nigel

I think this should work, as the IAT temperature goes up, I reduce the the fuel correction, thus leaning it out.. I assume this is correct ? Nigel
-
This is the opposite to what rontyler said I'm not concerned with heat soak, the issue I have, is that in morning the air is colder, afternoons it's hotter, and evenings it's colder again, the temperature can change 15 degrees C, in a day, and it's coming up to summer.. I have turned my MS early in the day, and will use IAT fuel correction to adjust for the warmer temperature. Nigel

Hi, If I tune my car at a IAT of 17 to 19 degree C (62.6F to 66.2F), what happens to the AFR if the air temperature goes up, i.e., does it run richer because the air is less dense, thus less oxygen, or leaner ? this is in a N/A application Nigel

This is my set-up L24e, everything standard N47 Head, P30 Block (Dished Pistons) W24 Manifold Standard injectors, still using the standard fuel regulator Still using the Air Regulator (for cold idle) Extractors, 2 inch exhaust MS II v3.0, running 2.888 firmware, (no second MAP) also I'm using E10 fuel. This is my .msq file, I have not put it on a dyno, the original table were done by driving, and having my son change the tables on the fly (using a Wide Band to set what AFR I wanted). Once I was happy, I done a few hours of driving and using MegaLogViewer to finish it of. As always, use at your own risk, my set-up may not be the same as yours NOTE : The .MSQ file has timing stuff set-up, at this time I'm not using MS for timing, so you will need to change this if you use MS for timing aswell. Yes, This is what I did before I brought MS, I sorted out my issue with MS and JAWs AFR not reading the same, So I'm a happy camper now. http://14point7.com/forum/index.php?topic=107.msg2256#msg2256 Nigel

Hi, I'm running version 2.885 on my MS II v3 board, and a week or so ago I saw that the .S19 file version was up to version 2.887, ( http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/code.htm ) so I downloaded it, to be ready up upgrade my MS, but today I checked again, and now it's up to version 2.888, now my question, is it worth keeping up to date, I had to look at the "C" code file to see version information and changes, but not having a older one to compare, I don't know what changed between 2.885 and 2.888 Nigel

This is the newer improved version http://www.14point7.com/Widebands/JAW_1_041/JAW_1_041.htm I'm running the v1.03, it works pretty good, the only problem I found it is the output to mega squirts jumps around a little, also I'm still trying to get the 2 to match on AFR, MS is a little off, but I have tuned my car, I have set MS not to use the WB input. When I get some time I will have a fiddle and see if I can get then to sync Nigel

Hi, I'm looking for 1/2 inch longer exhaust studs (because of the 1/2 inch spacer between manifold and turbo), with the same coarse / fine thread that the original studs have, does anyone know where I can buy these, preferable from a online vendor Thanks Nigel

Hi, I'm about to redo all my MS settings, but before I do, I want to backup my existing MS (MS II v3 board, using 2.885 code), ( I don't have the original msq file) Is there a easy way to do this ?, Nigel
