  1. I'm looking for a coulper for my 240zt I m gonig to the 60mm TB and need a reducer that goes from 2.75"-2" I have search but coming up empty. can anyone help me out as to a place that sells a reducer this size. I search ebay and gooogle to no avile. Thanks carl
  2. I'm trying to install my 60 mm TB but have run into a problem. I remove the spring and shafts from the old turbo intake, went to install the return spring and notice that the lever for the return will not bolt up the 240sx TB, how have you guys that have done the swap over come this problem? I think I may ahve posted this in the wrong forum.

I was playing around on the net the other day can came across this web page ( factory five.com) Of this company that makes CORBA kit cars and from that moment since I have not stop looking up info on the car. I'm thinking about getting one but don't know anything about them. I hoping that there might be some people on here that may have some knowledge about CORBA kit car and would share what they know about them. Thanks

  8. I installed my BO. about two weeks ago, since then when ever the BOV. goes off there a very strong smell of gas. Is that how they work or is it not hooked up right. I have the BOV in the intercooler piping just the intake and have the vac. line hooked up to the intake manifold, is that the way to install it? My hatch seals are gone an there was ext.smell comming in car before but noe raw gas smell. Thanks Carl

  11. 525 I thought it was posiable to get 250rwhp out of the stock set up, I just don't understand why my set up did not get there
  12. Hi 525 on the afm when i install the injectors do i want to turn thr wheel in the AFM aas to put more tention on it to lean it out or do i go the other way? I will turn the boost back to 6psi tomorrow before i drive it

I went to the dyno yesterday and I'm a bit disappointed in the result as i was hopin for 230-250- rwhp . my first run was at the stock setting psi and got 190 wrhp, AF was very good so i took it up to 10pis and got 198wrhp and AF mixture still but when i tried to go 12 psi it started to ping and the guy had to back off, then i was like try 15 psi,( 15psi is where i would like to run) so he get on it and if start to ping so he get off again this time we make 215 wrhp but only got the RPM up to 5500. I had them stop and left on the way I had the boost set at 12psi I tried to run at 12 psi and it ping so I pulled over to check things out and found that the distributor was advanced as fas is it could go so I turned it back half between full retard and adv. got back in the car and now I can boost 12psi all day. I want to go back to the dyno and see if this makes a difference but before I go I would like to know what you guys think could this have been my problem, the guy at the dyno shop told me I need more fuel as I ran lean on the last two runs, I just wonder if my lean condition was caused my timing being so far advanced. MY set up 71 240z 83 turbo set stock management system 89 supra intercooler turbo x blowoff valve manual boost controller LSD 3" EXT. part press bend and part mandrel 3" muffler custom 2 "1/2 down pipe from Scottie g cold air intake plug stock pop valve opening 93 octane gas[/img]
  15. I have a 240zt with a all stock system running 10 psi of boost the car have had some work done but still need a few thing like fixing some rust, a paint job, and new carpet. This is what I have done to the car so far. New brakes front (calipers and pads) back (wheel cylinders and shoes) Install a bushing kit New Eiback springs New struts 5sp tranny New clutch New clutch mater cylinder 76 gas tank LSD New diff. bushing Cool air intake What I would like is some ideas of what I should do next, I have a $1000.00 but not sure what to spend the money on next, would like some help on the best and most efficient things to do next to the car. I do have the intercooler and a 3" exhaust but have not installed them yet, What do you guys thing I should do next to improve the car? Thanks

I just installed my 83zxt engine in my 240z, the problem I have is when the engine is cold the car will not idle I have to hold the gas down for a min. or two to get it a little warm before the car will idle on it's own, it I don't it just dies. When I installed the engine I did not hook up the carbon canister I plugged the intake where all the vacc. hose went also plugged the nipple on the bottom of the TB where one on the vacuum lines from the canister went. I did hook up the vacuum pump the one that's next to the AFM, and ran a vacc. line to the ACC valve and plugged the line going to the EGR. (Erg is not hooked up.) I'm also getting 15in of vacuums according to my boost gage when the car is idling not sure if that's good or not. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

  18. I have a early 71 240z that's all stock and unrestored with 106k miles on it, the only flaw is a small hair line crack in the dash and a small tear in the drivers seat. What I'm thinkg about doing a turbo swap, what do guys think would i be screwing up this car by doing a swap, or should i look for another 240 one thats not all original. The car has no rust and have always been garaged.

  21. Hi Guys The time has come for my turbo project, I have a 240zt that I drove over the summer and loved (even better that my 350z). Well, just before the end of summer the crankshaft pulley fell off and the slot in the crank for the keyway got chipped a bit and now the keyway will not stay in he crank. I parked the car and decided to work on it during my 2 weeks Christmas break, well the come is nearing. I have always wanted to do a flat top piston turbo looks like this would be a great time to do it. I have a F54 82 N/A block what I'm thinking of doing is pull my Turbo head and swap it to the N/A block with the oil pan,dissy,turbo clutch, and run a stock head gasket with according the lengine program would be 8:5:1 compression. I will also be running a supra intercooler and the stock turbo EFI system I would like to still run 12-14 psi of boost like I did with the turbo block. So I would like to hear from people that have or are running flat top piston on the pros & cons. Anyone with any info on the subject please respond Thanks
  22. Guys I have 240z that will be getting painted this winter the original color of the car is orange paint code 918. What I looking for are some pic. of Z's that are stock orange color maybe cars that have been painted recently or older paint but in great shape. I would like to get an idea of what might car will look like when painted as my old painted has faded badly. You can E-mail me the pic or post the here where all can see. Thanks Carl
  23. Hi guys will the stock turbo dissy fix in the non-turbo block. This is what i would like to buile f54 flat top bolck turbo dissy pull my p-90 head with everything attached and bolt it to the block stock headgasket supra intercooler stock FEI scotties downpipe 3" exhaust LSD 78 5sp I'am i forgetting anything?
