I have heard that the motorsport and VB one for the 240z are not the right size fot the doors. Are the doors seal the only ones in the there kit that does not fit right?. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7942560598&category=33685
  7. After some research I have decided to go with a higher compression turbo motor. What I would like to know is what would be the best way to rase the compression on a turbo motor. When I use the LENGINE program there are two options I can go with. First being if I were to put a N42 head on the turbo block it would yield 8:5:1 or if I went with flat top pistons and p90 head it will yield 8:8:1compression. Which will be the better way to rase the compression and why? Thanks
  8. What happen to the turbo forum?
  9. I have a set of Eibach springs on my 240z the problem is that the rear is sitting lower than the front. If there's anyone with Ebiach and you car sit Level can you look at you springs and see if you can read the part# on them a let me know which goes where. and if the tightly wined side goes up or down Thanks

  11. Thanks guy, There's a couple things I forgot to mention about my current set up I have one of Scotties G's downpipe and 3" exhaust my engine has 75kmiles and runs just fine. I wanted a bit more off the line accelerations and more HP that's why I thought building a bit higher compression engine would be the way to go with a T3/T4 turbo. I was playing around with the Lengine program and found by replacing the 90a on the turbo block with a N42 and Felpro gasket the compression would go to 8:5:1. Would this be a better way to go, would I get the off boost responds I'm looking for? I guess what I'm trying to ask is by replacing the dish piston with flat top or just replacing the head with an N42 both will give me 8:5:1. will one pull and respond any different than the other? if so can you please take the time to explain Scottie, you segregated a better intercooler, which one would you recommend?
  12. About t womounts ago there was a guy that just finish his turbo build to his 73-240z silver and posted some pic. he was running 8:9:1 compression. I f you are out there and read this post could you respond as well . Thanks
  13. Thanks pallnet, I have all thought a set up like this will be fun to drive, will please keep us up tp date with your project, as you turn up the boost, mabe even share you maps. What clutch are you using?
  14. I have a 240zt running all stock 83 turbo system at 10 psi. This winter I would like to build me a flat top turbo motor, Now I have read a lot on this and from what I gather most say this is not the best way to go. However I want to give it a try I know there are others that have built this turbo combo, what I'm looking for are those that have done it or have knowledge of this build and what your experience have been. What the most boost you have run on stock management system. MY goals are to have a car with good acceleration as well as top end performance 250wrhp to start with and then when I get some money get a T3/T4 turbo and than look to make 300wrp. This is what I looking to build. N/A block p-90 head (This combo should be 8:5:1) turbo oil pan and oil pump turbo distributor supra intercooler blow off valve t3 turbo 10psi boost for now (370CC injectors and SDS in summer of 05 then hope to run 15psi) up grade clutch not sure what brand yet so if anyone have some suggestions I'm all ears
  15. I'm not sur if this is what you are looking for but here's the wiring for the 280zxt. I hope this helps You need to get a Haynes manual for ’79 to ’83 280ZX. This is the one with the red cover. Look on page 252, this is the wiring diagram. You will see 3 plugs labeled “1,2,3†with circles around the numbers. This is at the lower lefthand side of the page. The wires are as follows: Plug 1= BR 12v power source. Positive G 12v power source. Positive Plug 2=Y start signal (+) GL ground for inhibitor switch YW speed sensor (not necessary) Y A/C signal (+) YW coil (-) B fuel pump ground if using modulator Plug 3=LR fuel pump relay G ignition .signal (+) for air regulator W not used Y not used BW ignition signal (+)
  16. <http://www.geocities.com/drippingjune5/images/zpictures/exterior5/z02_orange240z.jpg> I'm trying to locate the owner of this car, as I have 240z that I will have painted in the spring and would like to know what color, and mame of paint this is Thanks
  17. I have heard to rase the comperssion on the turbo engine you can shave the head, is this true if so how much would you have shave to get 8-5-1 comperssion? would you have to shimed the cam, if so what size shim would I need.
  18. There's nothing wrong with the 83-turbo I have one in my 240z and love it if. I say go for it
  19. Can anyone tell if there is a diff. in AFM from 81 compare to the 82-83 turbo . If so what would that be, and are they interchangeable. Thanks
  20. the pump shut off after 2 seconds of running. It will only run if I was to hold the in the start position. Can anyone tell me how the AFM works in ralation to the fuel pump?
  21. I have an 83 turbo swaped in to my 240z well I upgraded to the 370cc injestoer a while and turn the AFM wheel 18 tooth like i have read on here but could not get the car to run right, it would run till it hit 4k rpm and that stall so i pulled the 370cc and went back to the stock 270cc injector. i still could not get the car to run over 4k rpm even after I set the AFM back where it was before I installed the 370cc. I got another AFM of E-bay and installed it today and the car will start but not run more that a second or two. I notice if I were to hold the key in the on position the car would run, so I put the old AFM back in but the same thing happends and I have to hold the key on for it to run. I than relpaced the the hold switch with a new one and I still have to hold the key in the run position to get the car to run. I should have left well enough alone as the car ran great before I installed the new 370cc injectors and messed with the AFM. Can anyone help Thanks
  22. are all of the z and zx starters interchangeable, my turbo starter has gone out and i have a 77 280z unit will it work on my 83 280zxt?
