  1. If you must have an EDIS module, you must have a 36-1 trigger wheel. I don't really see any advantage to trying to fake a 36-1 signal - the code and wiring is more complex, and there's more hardware but no clear benefit. My preference is direct coil control; I'd only use an EDIS module if I were doing a plug and play install on a car already equipped with a working EDIS system.
  2. Our trigger wheel manufacturer had been hit with a pretty big order; sorry about the delay. These wheels will not work with a EDIS module. They will, however, let the MS control EDIS coils directly.
  3. They're officially on order now - watch for them early December!
  4. It's not technically our product; this is from EFI Analytics. But we get asked for a MegaSquirt program for smart phones all the time, and so I wanted to give them a plug. They've got a new program called Shadow Logger out for Android phones, currently in beta testing. Check it out here: http://tunerstudio.com/index.php/shadowloggerms
  5. Check it out and subscribe if you're interested in seeing our latest dyno tuning and tech videos: http://www.youtube.com/diyautotune There's going to be a bit of Nissan content up soon with our 240SX / Sentra MSPNPs coming out. We've tuned several Z cars before, so the odds are good we may have some Z car dyno videos in the future, too...
  6. It's not likely to be long now - I'll keep you posted.
  7. Blanked-off distributor caps would be considerably more expensive - they'd probably have to be billet aluminum unless there's a LOT more demand for them than I expect. We'd have to see how this one sells and if we have several people asking, we might set up a group buy.
  8. Batch fuel control yes, DIS ignitions, no. There's no way to tell the teeth on the rotor apart.
  9. That capability is in the works for MS3, still need a bit of testing before it's ready for prime time (it won't need a full angle clock, though). I believe there's currently a running GM Optispark example (same pattern as the VH45) but no other modes are yet on a live engine. Basically, Nissan used dedicated hardware to count the high resolution slots. MS3 has enough power to brute force this and use it without a special tooth counter, MS2 and MS1 don't.
  10. It can be used for "Basic Trigger" (simple distributor) mode.
  11. Right. But not the VG30DE - those use the smaller 50 mm wheel. I'll see if I can have the settings these wheels need up soon as well.
  12. Good news, the boss has given it the green light. I'll see if I can get the design off to the laser shop by the end of the week.
  13. It'll let you run coil packs without a crank trigger. Thanks for the feedback, everyone!
  14. I'll have to check - I know it won't fit the VG30DE versions, but it might fit the VG30E.
  15. We've had a few people asking if we could do a scaled up version of our SR20DET wheel to fit the L28ET distributor: If enough people are interested that we can buy them in decent quantity and be able to sell them at the same price ($25) as the SR20DET wheel, we could do a run of them. It could be used with MS1, MS2, or MS3 to run coil packs from the stock distributor, and MS3 could use it for sequential injection. Who's interested?
  16. Usually the best way to reach us is by email to websales@diyautotune.com. You'd asked about the MS3 and 6 tower coil pack. That's easy enough to set up, if you're using a 36-1 crank trigger. Easiest way to make that work is if you go with an MS3 with the MS3X expansion board and the new QuadSpark ignition module. We designed the QuadSpark specifically to be an easy way to add high current ignition drivers when using an MS3X.
  17. Missing tooth cam wheels are supported in all Extra code variants as well as B&G MS2 code.
  18. It's only going to work with EDIS if it was designed to imitate the 36-1 pattern. To do that at cam speed would take 72 slots with 2 opposite teeth missing.
  19. Spark output A needs to be D14, not JS10, and the spark output needs to be set to "Going Low / Normal."
  20. The pattern is one the MS code can use for 4, 6, or 8 cylinders.
  21. What they are saying is if you are using the negative terminal of the coil as an RPM input, you can't also try to control the coil with the MS at the same time.
  22. Have you adjusted your distributor so you don't have your trigger angle set to 160 yet?
  23. Er, we don't have one sitting around the shop, sorry. We've just worked on several of them.
  24. Or there could be a faulty solder joint at the boot jumper...
