  1. That is about the LEDs on the Stim - without a Stim, what were you doing to determine the state of the outputs?
  2. I'd first check the injector wires for 12 volt power to the injectors and continuity from the other side of the injectors to the MS. Then check out this article for troubleshooting the drivers: http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_articles/megasquirt_injector_driver_troubleshooting.htm
  3. MegaSquirt Acceleration Enrichment Tuning Having trouble dialing out flat spots when you hit the gas? Stumped by the Acceleration Wizard? This article can help. If you have any questions it doesn't answer, post them here and I'll see if I can get them added!
  4. What tools do you have available to troubleshoot this one?
  5. Should be fine as long as you use one driver per coil and have an appropriate trigger wheel that supports distributorless ignition.
  6. There's now some experimental support in MS3 for some of the high res wheels, but the stock L28ET wheel has no cylinder identification so there wasn't as much benefit to supporting that.
  7. With so many MegaSquirts out there, it can be intimidating to determine which one is right for your project. We've put together this article to help: What MegaSquirt is right for me?
  8. If there is one cylinder not firing because the spark can't physically get there, it will show up as a longer tooth in the tooth log because the engine is slowing down. This may very well be the issue.
  9. Could you post two tooth logs, one with each ignition input capture setting? It is possible to use this disc for Basic Trigger mode if you have the correct trigger edge specified.
  10. The ASE and WUE can be confusing. The two numbers are added together, but they are set up so that 100% = no enrichment. So you'd want the ASE to have tapered away and 100% WUE on a warmed up engine.
  11. You should see a 5 volt signal for about 5 milliseconds at a time on the ignition outputs. That is, if you have an oscilloscope or other device capable of high speed sampling. A multimeter won't show it. It would help if you could post a copy of your MSQ and a data log of an attempted start.
  12. Means some of the gauges are linked to a feature your firmware (or particular ECU settings) does not use. You can right click on the indicators that show the things mentioned and assign them to something else. No big deal.
  13. I think the dwell gauge may be showing the length of the SAW pulse, which correlates to timing advance.
  14. If you're running EDIS, the EDIS module will be controlling dwell, the MegaSquirt won't actually know what the dwell is.
  15. I've worked with other customers using this. MS2 and MS3 allow you to flip which edge it uses in software; if it is set right, it works. Getting it backwards produces exactly the effect you think it would.
  16. This is for a different variant where all six inner slots are different lengths. The stock L28 wheel doesn't allow for sequential injection. I think there may be VG30ET (one long and five short slots) support though.
  17. Could you post a copy of your MSQ and a data log of it running? This is a bit easier to analyze.
  18. Take a data log and see if any of the sensor readings are different between the two.
  19. 0% should be the lowest possible reading you can get from the TPS at any throttle stop setting you would actually be using in normal driving.
  20. We've shielded the tach input wiring; the other sensor signals don't move nearly as fast and can be dealt with using a combination of hardware and software filtering. I haven't seen an OEM harness with all the sensors shielded - at most, the RPM signal, O2, and TPS may be sheilded, and it's pretty common for the O2 and TPS shields to be omitted.
  21. The regular build guide can be used if you're using the Extra code; it just doesn't include mods for some of the extra I/O the Extra code allows.
  22. Try again but do not load the boostrap and do not use the boot jumper. Power up the MS2 before you plug in the serial cable. Does anything change?
  23. Could you post a screen shot of the error? Often there's some important clues in the complete text.
  24. That's correct. See this page for details: http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_articles/using_diyautotune_nissan_trigger_discs.htm
