Garrett, You are going down a path that I would like to go down as well. I had intended on possibly using the Datsunworks head and a 3.0 or 3.1 to achieve the target 1000whp marque. I am curious what you are going to use for electronic controls ( ECU) Motec? AEM? Haltech? Were you going dual injector? Obviously there are lots of questions but if you would prefer to discuss off line I am good with that. I also tagged Blake in a FB post about this engine build as well.

I am going with the Technocraft seats. Very similar in size and weight. These are 5.5lbs

More rust was found on the car than I would like to admit. So all rust is being cut out and repaired. I have also opened up the rear wheel well to accommodate a 28" tire up from my current 26" set up.... It should all tuck under the flares....

I have found more rust on the car than what was expected. The car is still in pieces but will be getting the kit fitted after all repairs have been completed. I am using a 1 man shop and there fore I am at the mercy of my paint/body guy's work schedule. I am planning on having the car done by the end of the month. My wheels will be arriving the 3rd week of this month so the final fitment of the kit with the wheels will happen around then. After that is it smooth sailing, I hope.

Adding some photos of the rust removal and repair panels. Car has been stripped down to metal. New weatherstripping kit is going to be used for EVERYTHING. my custom SevenK wheels will be in my hands by the first week of Jan. I hoped for a good Christmas but no luck. On another note I have dropped off my 4/72 240z off to get roadworthy. Plans for that car will be coilovers, full motor build, 5 speed swap, Rear diff swap, wheels, full interior, LED lighting all exterior, new paint.... I have a long way to go on that car....

I will be at TX2k17 racing this year. Wed-Fri maybe Sat not sure yet.

can you divulge what head/cam/valve combo it will have? Intake system? Long tubes? Stroker? compression?

I forgot to add this to my page. I have replaced the rockers on both sides of the car due to rust, as well as a few small patch panels. I am shaving the fuel door and the antenna hole. Cool just figured I would check in. I now have 2 more 240z cars in my stable so I am now planning things out on my end. Just want to figure out the intake exhaust for this set up. I am torn between a N/A screamer or a Turbo big HP car ( but I already have a big hp Datsun). I might just keep it simple.

If you want to do it right..... yes it takes time. but if you want to slap something together and hope for the best.... well..... you go ahead and do that I am going to take my time.....

I have a friend who had the kit. the fitment on his car is spot on. Just a few things I am going to do extra as I will be racing the car in mile, 1/2 mile, and 1/4 runs...... I took a long hard look at his kit on and off his car and was throughly impressed with the finish work. IMO the final product is better quality than any other parts I have bought to add to the body of my car.
