  1. the rear tail lights of a 240z are timeless. A very identifiable part of the design of the car. Why would you want to change that? Now I get updating the lighting systems as I have done that but not change the whole rear panel of the car. It is just not my thing. So no I can't give you any positive feedback.
  2. Full on new harnesses for the car? I am about to get a harness and fuse box made up for mine ( cause the factory stuff tried to burn the car down....)
  3. A pic from the meet on Saturday. I got the car out and got to play.
  4. Saw your pics on IG. I am @sean70240z, you must be happy with the way it turned out. It looks good. Congratulations.
  5. Tony D.... why would you want to run a dizzy? You should know better. COP for this puppy when I get it, for sure.
  6. I went with the Hawk's 3rd Gen long tubes, they are 304 stainless. Good fitment, but I used the Hawk's 3rd Gen motor mounts as well.
  7. I used a built t56. I paid 2k and that was a great deal. Expect to pay that much. Check out my build if you want to see pics of how my set up is. I have a MGW shifter, Ram lightened Billet flywheel and a RAM clutch. All holding fine for now...... until I break something....
  8. It is only a matter of time before I have the whole Carbon Signal interior..... but @doccam we have been talking about that already haven't we habibi....... yaharam......
  9. Where are you located? I saw TX plates on it and thought you could be fairly close.....
  10. Very well done. You will have many trials and tribulations once this gets on the road. Just stick with it and you will have a car that will easily trump your vette any day of the week.
  11. Derek, I can't wait to talk options with you on this. I have been in since day 1 and I am happy to stay that way.... although the wife might not like me..... This might make me abandon my additional LS build.....
  12. Powder coating doesn't matter really. You can drop your parts at a local painter have them do what ever color you want
  13. I will be at Leake selling my Supra this weekend. It just so happens that there are 2 Datsuns listed for sale. I will keep tabs on them if I can. Although they are not a good representation of the cars it will be interesting to see what they bring in price. https://www.leakecar.com/consignments/?auction_filter=DALFAL15&qry=&year_filter=&make_filter=Datsun&model_filter=&run_day_filter=&sort_by=&pagenumber=1
  14. I am actually leaning towards a mid 90s chevy truck or a 60s chevy truck
  15. You can always buy my blower to get you to where you want to be...... I will just get something bigger...... lol On another note.... what is your gearing for your r200? I am running a 3.55 I have plans ( fluid ones) to start running the TX mile next year.
  16. I have 2 motors now...... muahhhhhh both of them are 6.2 motors. I will be building the bad one to a TT variant and slapping it in something to go have fun with...... ( maybe another Z.... ) The new-ish motor is getting placed in the car.
  17. Here is the culprit.... now what tp do with this motor? The car will be running by this weekend.
  18. When you do it right it is not exactly cheap, 800-1000 each time you strip it down and spray. But yes it is a cheaper alternative to paint. I have been so undecided on paint color it is comical. I always keep circling back to the OEM color 920, Safari Gold ( baby shit yellow). Something about it is just right. In the end I think it could win out. But there are some strong contenders. Balloon White ( lambo color) Crystal White ( Lexus color) Black ( always sexy) A few custom Matte grey/solvers...... I still have a ways to go before I can settle in on the color.
  19. Meh I can take the humor all day. I am a grown ass man, I deal it out just as much as I take it in. Keep it coming. At first I thought I was going to have a really nice coffee table for my garage then........... I slept on it..... just bought another 6.2 motor with 32k on it. going through it in the next week or so and possibly changing out bearings and rod bolts. From there plans are to rebuild the "bad" motor over time into something as bulletproof as I can get. I will keep you guys updated on what happened as we inspect the carnage. But it shouldn't be too bad cause it was at such low RPM when it went...... And so the Saga continues.......At least I had a "I told you so" moment with the shop... seems I might be in tune a little bit more than they give me credit..
  20. Had a feeling this was coming. After a shit week at work I got a call today that my motor grenaded while getting set up for the dyno. I knew something was wrong but oil pressure, and temps were good, no issues with spark, compression was good. We believe I spun a bearing and that was all she wrote........ so now on the hunt for another 6.2 motor and will rinse and repeat...... More updates later... I will be keeping the bad motor for an all out balls on your chin build that will take years cause I will not compromise ( that is another subject) This just makes it harder cause I have been selling parts to afford my Tillet racing seats..... now it all goes to a motor.... and maybe a few " while I am at it" things.....
  21. I know this car. It was in Richmond, TX. more specifically in the Pecan Grove community. Who's car was this on hybrid? http://www.ebay.com/itm/191731094551?forcerRptr=true&item=191731094551&viewitem=
  22. I heard the dude with the white Z had to push it 200 yards the other day, cause he cheaped out on his fuel pump
  23. If it is attention you want then be willing to pay for the fall out that comes with it. Higher prices for well..... everything. Don't be a tight ass when it comes to paying for mods and quality products from quality vendors. These cars in the rest of the world command good prices, and a bigger wallet. The market is already on the rise for decent cars. If you have been watching and paying attention the cost of a good car has risen significantly.
