  1. I ran out of gas on my breakfeast run....so now I am waiting for the store to open that has my 110, so I can redeem myself.......I need to make sure that these tires are good you guys know the routine..... Anyone want to purchase my Enkies? I am going to order a custom set of wheels and want to make up some of the differance in costs....drop me a pm if interested.....they are in great shape.
  2. I am sure that there is. look at the shadeing. I klnow you said no to grey but Graphite Grey Pearl from Lexus....
  3. Well 90 in 3rd comes really fast!!!! I need to work on the brakes, flush the system, new pads, and check the rotors.
  4. awww don't I get a freebie..........I am still a wee lil' lad ( at heart)
  5. me no searchy...........i am guilty
  6. I am looking for a pillar mount gauge pod for either 3 or 4 gauges........help....
  7. I am wanting to do something like this to provide direct air for my turbo intake system......any ideas how I can achieve this other than cutting up a factory hood? I would like to use Fiberglass because of the weight reduciton
  8. If I were to purchase a fiberglasshood and wanted to "cut" vents into it would it be possible without messing up the integrity of the hood? I want to do something like this http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/supra_1937_17494432 Just not as many holes.....lol...but you get the idea
  9. see if there is a stamp on the inner hoop of the wheel. That can tell you what foundry it came from and possibly if there is a sticker showing what the offset is
  10. what color orange did you go with seth? I am toying with the 911 GT3 RS orange for my 240, or go back to the original color......I am going with 17" wheels and I think that they will ber perfect in filling up the fenders as well as the right porportion. Good job on your 74
  11. I used to have three sets for my IS 300. I had to sell two sets to keep the Z at the house.....you can never have enough sets of shoes
  12. I just can't bring myself to purchase that style of wheel. My god father has a set of Panasports that he is going to use for his 280 Z and I don't want anything near what he has. They are a nice wheel but just not my taste. I know that they era specific and that they were the "bomb" back in the day but I want something a little more updated. I think that I may have solved my problems......I will post up when I get them...and show offsets and clearance...
  13. My concern is Width. If I am stuck using a 7" or a 7.5" wide wheel what is the max that I can fit on the car and not rub. I know that every thing is different on each car. My set up is OLD,originally put on the car back in the late 70's. So with that note I am concidering changeing out to coilovers, to be able to adjust ride height and get a good spring rate. I am going to roll my fenders a little to give me a little more room but I am not sure how much it will give me.
  14. I want to flare the fenders with a Eastwood Fender Flarer but not bolt on anything. I think that I can stuff some 17 X 8 with a +40 to +35 offset......I have been looking at the adaptorsform Modern Motorsports and I believe that I will go that route.....I will keep others updated.
  15. the funnything is that he is here in Texas.....I would really love to see the car in person.......I am not sure where in TX he is though
  16. Well on that note I think that the largest that you can go without doing a lot of modification is a 18" and even then you will have to do a conciderable amount of flairing of the fenders. 18" will fit for sure I have seen it done. Just have not seen 19"s done at all. here is a pic of 18"s http://web.mac.com/markrolston/iWeb/Site/New%20Paint.html
  17. What Z ???? Year???? Speaking from experience I don't think that the 19" are a option because of added weight on the corners. It will kill your braking, acceleration and some milage will suffer. I did not want to listen to others and paid 750+ a wheel then tires and after all was said and done I had 4000 into wheels and tires to sell them off a year later....Unless you are a big HP Z then I would not mess with them.. Research unsprung weight and see if that will change your mind...
  18. Don't get me wrong I love these wheels I am just leery about them under FULL BOOST spinning at 100+........and the adaptors holding up.
  19. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/LNP01/25-1129 These are the wheels I have been looking at. My only concern is that I have over 400 to the wheels on my setup and they use adaptors. My only other option is getting a set custom made, I don't want to drop a wad on wheel for this car. I have done it before on my IS 300 and I am not sure that I am willing to spend 750 a wheel again plus tires.......I have too many other things that I want to do to this car to justify that kind of money.....
  20. lol I think that I am a little too old for that place........I might roll through once in a blue moon but it is highly doubtful. That scene is not my cup of tea. Now if you would have asked me 12 or 13 years ago I would have already left my mark, and been on my way to Rankin Rd.....but these days I will stick to the highways for long fast pulls and some twisties on the back roads are good enough for me....
  21. She is driveable. Not so sure how the cops would like the no registration, insurance, and late 80's license plate, but none the less she is driving around the neighborhood!!!!!!!I just put 5 gallons of 110 in her to help out a little bit. I ordered the General Exclaim HPs. Just something to put on her that will grip a little bit for now. I am going to tackle the little things that need to be changed out...( various hoses and air filters).....Then it is the brakes, I am going to check out how much pads, and rotors will be.......but the tires will be in next Fri........I am going to check out the registration part as well......
  22. just let me get my tires. I ordered them and they will be in next friday.....I hate waiting..........I am on my way to buy 5 gallons of 110 down the street!!!!!
  23. well the fuel pump works so well that my fuel lines that are dry rotted acted as sprinklers for the engine bay........I will have them back on the car by this afternoon...........she will drive today.....idle is a little high but everything seems to be operational. I think that I will replace what I have under the hood as far as hoses are concerned over the next few weeks for my own piece of mind.
