fuel pump would not turn on. got it fixed.ordered a new fuel filter.... that is coming in today. I am putting it all back together when i get home from work. I will start her up tonight. cleaned the drivers side up with a cutting pad and some product.......I just might stay with the original color paint........but who knows at this point. Iwant her on the road scaring the V-TEC shits around here.....

well lets see teamnissan, if you want to ship your Z to Kuwait you probabily could get a paint job for about the same but it would cost you an arm and a leg to ship it over there since you don't have a work visa or a location to ship to. Expect to pay a decent wad of cash if you want a paint job without any orange peel, mismatched paint, straight panels, no overspray.....the list goes on and on.... The old addage you get what you pay for can surely apply to painting a car. I speak from experience..... Unless you want to try to paint it yourself......

I have a L24 block with a Turbo tom set-up. I have no way to sense knock untill well you know can hear it with my deaf ears.....any ideas as to where I can tap the block to put one or if I would need to hard line it to isolate the noise? Thanks in advance.

FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!! Got her to turn over and idle for about ten seconds. So I know that she will run. The only problem is my fuel pump is not working. I am taking it off the car today and will have it up and running by the end of the week....... Now all I have to do is go buy the race gas and drive it like I stole it.....I will need to check all of the gagues once they are operational so that I can see what I have to replace and keep........ Once she is on the road then I will start to do the rebuild little by little...suspension, brakes, interior ( dash, new auto-meter interior, Recaros, stereo, roll cage), wheels then finally paint last.

Okay so there were some set backs.... Motor turned over well. No Spark..... purchased volt meter, volt meter arced......returned voltmeter..... No sound from the fuel pump....so I think it is bad,......I need to check to see if it is getting any power........ I was so anxious about it fireing up but I have to be patient... ANY OF THE TURBO TOM GUYS....... Info needed....what fuel pump are you guys using? I think I have a Carter butI am not sure....

I am goin big willy style and stuffin 17X8 all the way around maybe 18X8.....I want to see what I can get into the fenderwells with minimal work to the fenders.........I have well over 400 to the wheels on my setup so I am not sure what to do as far as width. maybe a 255/40/17

they are around but you have to look for them....at least that was the way in Saudi. You guys in K.C. should have a good collection of exotics......a lot of money running around in that town....

Just talked to Sean at techline and their coatings for the Turbo X are good for 2000 degrees. Perfect for a turbo application. They don't remember working with Turbo Tom but you never know. This thermal application can come in a variety of colors so I think that I am going with black to look more stealth....Thanks for the link I will use them

It is so when I blow by you, I don't have to look in the side view mirrors as I am watching your jaw drop.......... Yes it is old school......I believe they were called wink mirrors. No blind spots. I will look up that place in GA for the coating.......

Yup mine did. I am gonna keep it for sure. I will switch out the paper element filter for a K&N soon........other than recoating the manifolds with a Jethot type coating that is all that I am doing for now. I figure that if I can hit the 500+whp mark then I will see no need in changeing anything as far as the motor is concerned.
