What kind of engine management did you use?

I realize this is an old post but if you are still around perhaps you can answer a question for me. i am doing a RB25det swap and have an sds (i inherited but have not used) i see you used an sds so my question is how did you interface with the variable cam system. The folks at racetec (SDS) keep asking me if the N-VCS is "on-or off" or "proportional" and i cannot find any info that let's me answer that question. i have a manual but it either is not clear or i am too dense. your assistance is appreciated.

i am building a custom car using a Datsun 240z chassis, updated suspension, a fiberglass Ferrari clone look alike body and most importantly to this forum a RB250DET series 2 engine from a skyline. i am looking for a piece of technical info on this engine. specifically "is the N-VCS a proportional or on-off system"? i ask this because of the requirements of the after market computer management system i am trying to use (SDS, EM4-f) only works "on-off". any info would be appreciated. if i am in the wrong place for this question just let me know.

Do you have any tips/tricks for using the SDS with the RB25DET? i am planning on using the RB Series 1 in a 240z and have both the SDS from another engine (not one i have used) and the R33 ECU. Which coils did you use and what changes did you have to make? Any info is appreciated.

Hey people; Newbie here. i need some educating. I have a diff. (r200 viscous) and axles (6 6olt flange)from a 1991-1996 300zx. can i swap the axles for the 300zxT axles (4 bolt flange)? Is it just a matter of pulling the stubs from the diff and swapping or do i have to make internal dif. changes, or just replace the outboard axles/both axles? I tried to look around for info n this but was not successful. i guess my more general question is "will any 300zx? axles work with any R200 diff.? Appreciate any and all pointers or info. I am buying an Arizona Z track pack and need to match up at the hub with either an adapter such as the one offered by Modern Motorsports or try to locate a bearing from a Q45 to match my outboard axle splines. Hope i am being clear!! thanks in advance.

i am starting one very soon. i ordered the McBurnie kit. i spent time with both john washington (reaction research) and tom mcburnie (thunder ranch). I believe i got more from mcburnie for a bit smaller price but they are really hard to compare as the kit has many different components and slightly different build and show philosophies. we shall see how it goes.
