  1. Unfortunately I think what gives the car alot of its value is the fact that this motor is IN the chassis. I would possibly entertain that idea, if someone was to come to me with an offer however. Thanks
  2. Keeping it all together makes the most sense now. Take into consideration someone wanting to do the TH400 swap on their car, is going to need EVERYTHING I listed above....
  3. The car is for sale, and im taking it back to 5spd... If you mean, why is the car for sale, then its because I'd like to move on to something different
  4. Guys As you know I put my car up for sale this weekend, I have no idea how long its going to take to sell it, but I'm going to be taking the car back to 5spd. I'll have the following for sale Fully Built GM TH400 w/JW Aluminum transbrake TCI Deep Trans Pan Precision Industries custom converter Modified RB Auto Bell Housing Custom RB FlexPlate ARP Flexplate/Crank bolts B&M CompositeX Shifter B&M Supercooler Kit w/Jegs billet fittings Please PM me or email at andy@booztd3.com if you may be interested Thanks
  5. Yeah it was 'mile-an-hour'ing around 125ish on pump gas....
  6. Yes, last year. I went to a few MMs' and won the 'fastest import' both times.....
  7. Guys It definitely brings me great pain to type this ad up, however the time has come in my life where I would like to move on to something different. I have had many highs and lows owning this car for the last 6 years. I've poured a ridiculous amount of time and money into this thing, and it will definitely be a sad time to see it go. THe car currently makes 555rwhp @ 18psi on pump gas, and has made 680rhwp @ 24psi on Torco 112 On drag radials and a 5spd, the car has gone 11.5@125 mph with a 1.8 60ft. I am confident if I had ran slicks, I could have run 10's on pump gas. Interested buyers please email me at andy@booztd3.com No test drives unless intent to buy is strong, and a deposit has been made I have built this car from stock to where it is now, with my own two hands. If you have ANY technical questions do not hesitate to email me. Asking $25,000
  8. I'm not really sure what the problem is, I have been super busy thrashing on my car to get it ready for this weekend so I havent had much time to take a look at it. Hopefully next week it'll be back to normal
  9. I got out to the drag strip today to get some trial runs on the new transmission setup. It rocks, however I only got one pass and then it rained. The car ran 11.7@125 with a 2.1 60ft which is horrible. I think right now on low boost with pump gas the car has some good 10 second passes in it Right-Click Save-As http://www.booztd3.com/Videos/TH400_First_Pass_11_7.wmv
  10. Im lazy, lol Going to the strip tomorrow, hope to get some vid
  11. FYI I dont plan on running the nitrous during the launch, its ONLY for spool, so i was not concerned with the orientation of the bottle.... Just got some pics...and no that stuff that looks like it was leaking was not me.....it was already there.... Notice the big long 1st gear patch, and then a nice healthy shift patch, lol
  12. Well I finished the nitrous install up this week, works well! To mount the bottle, I came up with the idea of fabricating a plate that would 'close-off' the spare tire well. I'm not going to need it anyways, so I went and got the matial and mapped out what I wanted to do. I basically took a sheet of 16guage steel and had a buddy weld some 1" square tubing on the bottom side of it for support. I then laid that piece of steel in the hatch, and bolted it down, along with the nitrous bottle and the battery. Here's some pics of the setup
  13. Rob I was the guy emailing you about how to configure the nitrous to get the stall up.....we exchanged a few emails last week regarding the 'wet' shot. To answer your question, Yes, I have a JW aluminum pro-transbrake installed I hope to get to test the nitrous today
  14. All info should be here http://bde-performance.com/
  15. Dont forget the nitrous! You will need an adapter kit. I purchased the RB20 bell housing and sent it to the company developing the kits. They modified the bell housing and shipped it to me, along with the rest of the parts.
  16. I have seen STOCK Z32 rear suspensions support 1.2-1.3 60ft times at the drag strip........the whole rear end assembly is built incredibly well....i dont see any reason to switch to a ford 9" (assuming you have a Z32, i dont see any info)
  17. Really not much sooner than the 5spd, maybe a little sooner........considering the stall is at 5k, it doesnt really start to load the motor until that point. I know at WOT shifts im going back down to 6200-6300rpm which is perfect considering on the dyno it appeared my powerband was from 6-8k......
  18. Not with a stock motor, I dont really want to push it.......especially on a wet kit...
  19. Alright guys, Im feeling froggy, so here's another update After doing alot of research on the supra forums and guys run big stall auto's with the lower displacement motors, I found that its 100% necessary to spray some nitrous on the transbrake in order to get the turbo spooled and the engine loaded. This is going to help me a TON off the line.......hopefully we will see some 1.3-1.4 60 foot times! The kit is a Nitrous Express 'Import' EFI kit I will basically engage the transbrake, and floor the car. Once a little load is on the motor and the RPMS start to creep up, I'm going to spray a 75 shot and this will spool the turbo, and get the car up on the converter (also called flashing) I am not finished with the install yet, but here's what I have so far Nitrous Kit I was instructed to put the nozzle ~6-8 inches from the intake manifold inlet. I removed my IC pipe, flattened it out a bit, drilled the hole, and installed the adapter piece. Here's the nozzle installed I fabbed up a thin piece of aluminum to mount the solenoids on I tapped the fuel for the nitrous solenoid at the regulator. You can see the fitting "T's" off, and the line that goes to the NX fuel solenoid The bottle is filled, and pressure guage installed I still need to mount the bottle, run the line from the rear of the car to the nitrous solenoid, and do the wiring, and test the solenoids out. I'll set some safeguards up on the AEM so hopefully I dont go boom! Thanks for looking
  20. Alright guys, I told you an update was coming, so here it is! After going through 3/4 transmissions due to broken shift forks, bad syncrhos, etc, I decident that since most of my time in the car is spent on the drag strip, its probably best that I go the automatic route. After alot of talks with Brett Dempsey at BDE (Brett Dempsey Engineering) we decided a reverse manual vavle body TH400 was the way to go. Brett has developed a conversion kit for the VG30 and the RB26. The specs are as follow: Built TH400 BDE RB26 Conversion Kit JW Aluminum Transbrake w/Reverse Manual Valve Body TCI Deep Aluminum Pan Precision 5000 stall converter B&M Composite X Shifter Custom OEM 1-piece driveshaft B&M Supercooler TH400 Kit Now On to the install pics! Current Engine Bay Setup OEM Crossmember vs Modified OEM Crossmember Autometer Mechanical Trans Temp Guage mounted to the Roll Cage Composite X Shifter B&M Super Cooler TH400 kit from Jegs ARP 7MGTE Flywheel Bolts (same pattern as 300ZX/RB26) Here's the old 5spd, had a pretty decent grind in 4th.....getting ready to come out A good friend allowed me to use his garage which had a really nice lift and trans jack A closer look at the tranny & conversion. The bell housing is a modified RB26 automatic bell housing Here's the difference between the OEM flywheel bolts and the ARP bolts The OEM bolts stuck out too far, sine the flexplate is thinner than the flywheel This may be hard to tell, but the RB26 has a dowel pin for alignment of the flywheel. This had to be removed Trans on its way in Here you can see the precision converter The trans went in super easy. The crossmember is mounted to an OEM TH400 tranny mount Getting the 5spd stuff out of the way Shifter contents I made my own custom shifter mounting plate using some moderatly thin aluminum. I Just traced the bolt pattern of the 5spd brakect, and cut out, and drilled the bolt holes for this. I then had to drill a large hole in the tunnel for the shifter cable to pass through Shifter is in, and interior returned in to place A final look at the interior Here's the shifter cable routing I had to custom make the SS lines for the oil cooler I mounted the oil cooler in the passenger side fenderwell of the car Here's some pictures of the driveshaft. Its a Z1 1-piece driveshaft for a VG30 application, shortened 1-1/2" I also had to have a 1350 style u-joint installed (Z1 uses a 1310 style) and a 1350 yoke was installed as well. It cost around 100 bucks for the driveshaft shop to do. Heres the driveshaft engagement. It has a few inches of engagement onto the tail shaft. I have been driving the car around for a week now, and it absolutley RIPS! The car feels like a totally new animal, and since the car is manually shifted, its just as much fun to drive on the street as the 5spd was. I need to tweak the tune on the car, I think because of the heat, its getting to much fuel (its been adjusted for how cold it has been here lately) so I am getting a little sputter in high rpms because its so rich (10.0 or worse!) The car is entirely streetable still, even with the 5k stall, the car starts to creep forwards when I let off the brake pedal, and its moving at around 1500rpms. I am really hoping for some low-mid 10's on pump gas with this setup Thanks for looking!
  21. They do exist! Mine was extremely clean when it showed up........everything was in great shape Joel is right on the service sticker, they include those stickers in every timing belt package or kit thats sold at nissan........
  22. Fixed for ya.... We've got a couple rb26 powered 300 "ZX"s running around Good luck on the project
  23. Haha, im sorry guys I really wanted to supplement the 'post' with some video, and its been pouring cats and dogs here........... I promise I'll have something up this week
