  1. didn't know that about the 240z, but this is for a Z32 300zx
  2. Nooooooooooooooooooo! lol went to look at it, but couldn't find my flashlight lol
  3. Doesn't the subtle fenders replace all of that anyways? Just cut it at the highest point, and brace it for the glass fenders.... or am i just missing something with what you are trying to achieve?
  4. How hard is it to take out the pedal assembly? I have a auto car that i'm putting a standard into so i need to change the pedals. Would I have to pull the dash? I sure hope not! Thanks Phil
  5. This is me doing it, i sound like a dumbass, haha
  6. Got it back together and it runs great again! Now if I can figure out the dayum MSD 6AL box. Uploading a video of me getting the fuel out of the float, i'll post it when i gets done.
  7. I'm so sick of those. Good Luck, The hoffman group of people are great, I've done a bunch of business for them at my custom shop. I would look for a Autoloc dealer in town though, that way they might be able to give u some help. Vertical Doors have a great product as well and normally they are tailored to your exact vehicle.
  8. True, funny thing is i do fine soldering on cell phones during the day, using a microscope so that is a great idea. Hmmm feel kinda dumb that i didn't think about fixing it myself now. I'll try to heat it up and see if I can get the gas to evaporate out of it, i shook it a bit trying to get it a drop to come out somewhere and didn't find any... but i have a fancy blow dryer i use at work. Thanks!
  9. Ok, will order that first then guess i'll just get a brass one to match the others. Thanks!
  10. No luck, took it all apart, it all looked very clean. One thing i noticed is one of the floats has some fuel in it, just a little but perhaps I should replace it. It is brass, so not sure if I should get another brass one or plastic one. Anyoen with any experience in this? Guess i'll just take it fully off and throw a rebuild kit at it and see what it does.
  11. That was the original problem, so i adjusted the float and now its flooding out the cylinder, unless i need to adjust it further, argh!
  12. Triple 40 webers. Car was siting for a month, started it and was driving like ass. Upon investigation one of the carbs was leaking out gas out through the air filter. Took the top of the carb off and adjusted the float level so it does not leak anymore but it appears to be flooding the engine. (5,6 cylinder) Could something have gotten clogged while sitting there a month? Looking for any ideas, I'm not to good with these weber side drafts. Thanks Phil
  13. The loss of power is what i'm afraid of by using it. Its a auto car so that doesn't help either. Hmmmm guess I have to find another motor, trade this one off for a non -turbo, or find a turbo setup. Wish it was easier, lol Thanks tibby!
  14. Found a LS1 bat wing oil pan for the project today on craigslist, got it for 80 bucks. Its a 2 part one, anyone know if that will work or should I sell and find a 1 part one?
  15. Trying to have a motor put into my new daily 300zx, and talked with my friend, and found out the motor I got came out of a turbo card and not a NA. From what I understand the oil pan is difference, and I would assume the pistons or the heads are different thus producing to low of a compression, anyone know if that is true? Thanks Phil
  16. I havn't found one for my swap but someone posted on my thread
  17. Thats a great price, i've had a few sets on some trucks, if they were local for 200 i would have bought them for sure.
  18. The rears of the Datsuns are stronger than u might think. You can also just upgrade to a R200 very easy and not have to go with a 9". I've put a R200 in a few, and being near the 300hp mark never had a problem. In my LS1 project that should be about 450HP going to go with the R230 from the second gen 300zx and probably end up going with the hardened stub axles from Modern Motorsports.
  19. Yea to make "ratings" they do that kind of crap. Had them follow me around some for my car show stuff I help with, they just want drama and more drama.
  20. Lifts are awesome, I have one but have had my dually stuck on it for a bit, hope to have the suspension done soon so I can work on my Z cars again. Be sure to get some supports for each side, seen a few pics of vehicles that have fallen, always be careful!
  21. I think mine are going to stick out further, guess thats a good and bad thing, lol
