  1. Not sure if anyone has posted this, but I just saw a fender roller on harborfreight.com. It is $74.99, but like other harbor freight products, quality is probably not the best. With that said it is not a very complicated device so I think it should work. Just giving a heads up.
  2. Has anyone bought hard lines from them? I did a search but did not find much. I am just wondering how fittment and quality are for their stainless brake hard lines. Thanks
  3. Thanks for the replies. Yes, I am using gas.
  4. Hi, I'm in the process of putting in full length frame rails on my 260z. The frame rails are 1/8 inch thick. Any tips on welding it to the original floor pans? I am using a 110/115v mig welder. Thanks
  5. I think that each number and letter stand for something, like what block, head, t for turbo..... I know between the 5sfe and 3sgte, the "f" and the "g" designate different heads. "f" being a non-performance head and "g" being the opposite, I am pretty sure they have different valve angles. The "s" if I remember correctly is the block, which is the same in these two engines. I would assume the the 1jzgte and 2jzgte is similar.
  6. Cool thanks for all the replies. I was worried about the middle sagging, that is why I asked. So, would it be safer to just have the car on jack stands and weld in the new rails in upside down? That is what I was trying to avoid, don't like hot metal falling on me, lol. I don't need to do my floor pans just the rails, thank goodness.
  7. Yes, I ment under the floor pan.
  8. Hey guys is it okay to place the car on the rotisserie when the frame rails are removed, will it be strong enough to stay straight? Thanks
  9. What is strange is that I have that exact, I mean exact, same dent/ wrinkle in the driver side wheel well.
  10. Thanks for the replies, I was asking about the part number because I was going to see if the local Toyota dealer will be willing to order it for me. My uncle works there so they give me his discount. I was trying to see if I could get it cheaper. And yes I have the R154 sitting in my garage, I just pulled it from a local junk yard.
  11. Nice. Good luck and keep us posted. I'm getting my 74 260z ready for a 2JZGTE.
  12. Anyone have the part number on the 1JZ bell housing? I been searching the web and the only sits that show up on the search are no longer there. Can anyone help me out? Thanks
  13. Is a differential from a 85 300zx turbo 2 pinion or 4 pinion? I know it is not lsd. Thanks
  14. Excelent job to all of you, your cages look great. I have some quick questions, what thickness plates are you using to reinforce the tubing to the sheet metal, 1/8"? And are you welding everything up with a MIG welder? Thanks, Justin
  15. Question, how hard would it be to find all the parts from a Z32tt? In all my journeys to the local yard I have never even seen a Z32tt. Just curious on avalabilty. speeder, if you don't mind me asking, how much for the setup? Thanks
  16. Can you get a different angle, because it is very hard to tell.
  17. Tony D, Thanks for the help I actually went to the one in SB and bought 4 boxes. If I need more I'll check back on Adams st, its like a block away from work. Thanks
  18. Hi, the car looks great. I am about to replace my engine frame rails also, but have a question. When you cut the old frame rail out, do you brace the front end at all so it doesn't get out of alignment? Or is the front end strong enought to support itself? I was going to replace one side at a time to try to keep it true. Any advise? Thanks
  19. Yeah I check harbor freight but they seem to only carry tumbling media. Thanks for the replies, I'll try the HF in San Bernadino. Thanks
  20. Well I live in southern california and I am looking for a place that sells aluminum oxide blast media. I can order online but shipping cost as much as the media does. I am near the Riverside area, anyone know a place? I call around to different places but no one even knows what blast media is. And I have looked in the phone book with no luck. Thanks
  21. Sorry, I assumed that the suspension would be done too. I just wanted to find out if the weight problem could be fixed fairly easily. I ask also because I have a 77 Celica that I wanted to put a 7mgte in but I hear it is way to heavy and would have a difficult time making it handle nice. I want to be able to take the Z to the track also, and not just go fast in a straight line. Thanks for the reply.
  22. Hi, for those that have done the 2jzgte into a 240/260z how does it handle? I am aware that the 2jzgte is a very heavy motor, and wanted to know how it is around corners. Thanks, jgkts1
  23. Hi, I am throwing around the idea of bending my own hard lines for the brakes. Does anyone know the fitting size I need for the front calipers? Or better yet if I upgrade to Toyota calipers, what size fittings would I need for that? I ask because all the kits that I find come with fittings for domestic vehicles, so I am curious what size fittings I will need for my 74 260z. Thanks
