  1. A lot of those are reproduction from Mexico, I don't see why they can't reproduce the euro ZX lenses.
  2. I like it. I really like the old school Japanese look. and I especially like the big oil cooler sticking out the front (not on this car) but things like that.
  3. what is this so called euro spoiler ?
  4. Okay I went to the junk yard and picked up three nuts one washer and one retainer washer (?) anyways I put the new bushing in and was able to put one nut on all the way and the other one half way. But on the other side that did not fall off there is only maybe one or two threads exposed and I can't really tighten it any more. What should I do now that one is really tight and one is really but with a lot of thread engagement
  5. yeah i don't like that big bumper, maybe you can grab the bumper assembly off of a later one ?
  6. Honestly don't buy your wheels from someone go to the junkyard. The wheels are going to be ~$20.00 each and if you get the 280ZX 6 spokes they weigh 13lbs. and the yard is most likely going to charge for the tires on them too so what I do is I destroy the tires and then i got them for free (The tires).
  7. Well my T/C Rod nut/washer/bushing fell off. Well I can say that's an easy way to make a turning brake. Anyways should I do to make sure that this doesn't happen again ? so far I'm missing the nut washer and fairly new poly bushing. Just to confirm I should have the poly bushing on the FRONT of the the car on my S130 ?
  8. I don't know anything about your question but I would imagine that it might cost roughly 100 dollars to do what your thinking right ? in which case it might be your best bet not to get "new" wheels but just some z car alloy rims. I got a set of four 15" swats for $100 bucks at a junk yard might be worth your time, they weighs 14lbs.
  9. Well what kind of bumpers do you have ? Early 280ZX or Late 280ZX I have the late style and I mean they are big I guess but their hidden by the body. Like this
  10. I like how that dash looks. Also do you have pictures of the catch can ?
  11. My dad said a good way to tell how many miles it has (roughly) is to check the pedals, if their really worn then it's probably 173 if their fairly new looking it's probably 73.
  12. In the second video it looks like he has really skinny wheels on it or something. But I love that sound.
  13. Wait is he the one that had that Miller Chill scene in the begining of one of his for sale ads?
  14. Yeah. There is a dyno chart in here for the L16 stock being 74.4HP BRE modified 105HP and Turbo 124HP, I don't know if those are the new or old type of HP but what ever. Seeing as how I've never heard of this kit before, chances of finding one will probably be slim. it looks as though the SU is mounted to the intake so it's only seeing uncompressed air.
  15. Yeah the way I see it was. Yeah there was a monster and an army fighting it,. But that really wasn't the main point but the people on their own mission. I thought the monster had a very unique appearance.
  16. Okay well apparently it's called the "crown turbo kit" available as a complete bolt on kit for a L16 and a L24 using a single stock SU carb never exceeding 10PSI. Made by Crown Manufacturing of Newport Beach California. EDIT: this is an OLD book so chances are this is NLA
  17. Well I think how the movie was filmed was pretty original. and made up for the monster thing.
  18. Well I really don't know how you saw it and said it wasn't original. sure there are some things that are not original but if you saw the film on your computer maybe that is why. But I don't know it was quite a movie.
  19. I was reading my "how to modify engine and chassis for your 510 and 240Z" and I saw some turbo kit that uses a single SU carb on the L6. I'll go look it up to see what turbo kit so maybe some more information can be obtained.
  20. It's not godzilla... It's a giant teletubby. No but in all seriousness this movie is pretty original. I've not seen anything like it before, and I loved it. You should definitely go see it.
  21. Hey if you replace the T/C rod bushings I have 2 poly and 2 rubber for sale if you want
  22. There should be drain plugs on the bottom of the doors, I know my 510 has them as well as other cars, but i am not sure about the 280ZX
  23. You've done it the same way I have. But the pedal was still soft for me and It got so bad that I needed to double clutch (?). Anyways I just purchased a new master and slave cylinder at MSA (http://www.zcarparts.com) and the total was like $70.00 for brand new OEM Tokico parts so that is what I would do, and while you are down there you might want to replace the clutch line with a new one. MSA also sells stainless steel clutch lines. Have fun with your new Z
  24. Well the interior is completely stripped. the only thing in there is the steering wheel, and the dash harness. and we ground away most of the rust off the repairable areas. but left the replaceable areas alone. We've also removed all trim pieces except for the drip rails... can't figure out how to take those off. all weather striping is removed as well.
